A Romitri fanfic

Chapter 1

Rose ran looking for Dimitri. She knew she was supposed to be guarding Lissa but she couldn't help but feeling off. Mason's ghost appeared again. She sighed "Mas I don't have time for this. What's wrong?" He was silent as usual. It was odd thinking that he recently died and she couldn't save him. He pointed at the school. "There's not another attack. Wait is there?" The last time there was a Strogoi attack Dimitri nearly died. He didn't just die, he was turned. Mason shook his head for no. "Is it Lissa or Dimitri?" At Dimitri Mason nodded. Rose ran to the cabin in the woods that the two had claimed. There he was laying on the bed. He was still, deathly still. "Roza..." he murmured. Rose smiled slightly "Right here, Comrade." She placed a kiss gently on his lips. He was ill she could tell. He pulled her to him smiling as much as Dimitri could. "Are you all right, Dimitri?" He nodded. "I came out here in the hopes of doing something nice for you, Roza" he stroked her hair "but I tripped and hit my head badly." Rose laughed at that "This is the same Dimitri they call a god!" He kissed her passionately "You know that I love you, right Rose?" She smiled "I love you too." The two laid together just as they had their first night there. The Academy was safe and everyone knew of their relationship now but Rose had to ask why he was lying to her. He didn't have a bump on his head, he was just sick. "Dimitri..." she hesitated but continued "you're sick. You didn't hit your head. Why did you lie to me?" He chuckled slightly. "You are smart, Roza. I thought if I said that I hit my head I could still do something romantic for you. If you knew that I was sick well you'd make me lie down and get better. " he smiled at her and she drew him to her gently and whispered "I love you and just being near you is amazing. Let's get you to the nurse. I'll stay by your side, I promise. Lissa and Christian are supposed to leave for the Court in a few hours. They'll be fine without us. I have faith in Eddie. "Dimitri held her tight then stood up. "You're right, let's go. " he said while shrugging on his duster. He held out his right hand to help Rose up. She took it and they walked back to the academy hand in hand to see the nurse. Once they were there they were told that he only had a small fever and that he could ride back to Court with Rose, Lissa, and Christian. "The flight leaves in an hour." Rose told Dimitri while they were walking the grounds. He kissed her cheek. "It'll be fine. We can go home, to our home. We can guard Lissa and Christian. We can train some more if you'd like. I know that you are anxious to try and beat me. " she smiled and looked at the stars. It was cool out and she shivered a bit. "I can beat you anytime anywhere! If we could have kids they'd watch me beat you!" Rose smiled and walked to the plane. She started to enter then stopped and looked at Dimitri who was behind her "We should adopt. You know, dhampir children of course but you'd make a great father. " with that she turned and went to take her seat. Dimitri, who was in shock nearly passed out before he could sit down.
