Prologue.
"Goodbye"
After a while, I learned that not everything lasts forever, there will always come a time where you have to say goodbye, even if you don't want to.
I still remember the look on his face when I said goodbye. That night, we promised each other that we would always stay in touch, but as you know, that promise soon faded, instead of once a week, the phone calls came once in a while, and the text's were never sent. Numbers were changed, e-mails and letters were lost, and our friendship was forgotten.
That was five years ago, I'm seventeen now.
I still think about him.
I still miss him.
I still wish I hadn't left Melbourne, but I did.
These six simple words still run through my mind:
