Alyssa P.O.V.

It was cold and dark out. My eyes started to water and I couldn't feel my hands. I wasnow Demark Street, a few blocks away from the house.

It was nice to be in the cold fall night. Winter would be official here when it snow.

I could see all the beautiful stars twinkling in the sky. As I continued to watch them dance above my head.

I was getting quite cold and there was a Dunkin Donuts across the street. I decided to sit there for a little while and warm up a little before I freeze to death.

I open the door and heard the little bell that was above the door ring. Once I walked in I was greeted to the smell of coffee and donuts and it felt like they put there heat on high.

I found a booth that was at the back and sat down and took my coat off. Umm...lets see how much money I have. I thought to myself as I searched my pockets for stare change.

I found two dollars in my jean pockets, one dollar in my sweater pocket and another dollar in my coat jacket. Four dollars all together. I put all the money on the table, just as I did that I saw a man about my age staring at me from the other booth. When I looked up to meet his eye, he looked back down.

Ok can you say Awkward??? But what ever. I got up and went to the counter to order.

I got two jelly filled donuts with hot chocolate. (I hate coffee)

I paid and then went back to my booth and started to eat my donuts.

As I was eating the same guy was looking at me. Like earlier every time I would look up he would look away again. Really? I began eating again when he look at me again. Ok now this is annoying.

"What are you staring at." I said loud enough for him to hear me.

"Me" he said like he was stupid.

"Who else?" I said pointing out the fact that we were the only one in there.

"Oh, is it Bothering you?"

"Yes"

"Oh, well I was staring because I never saw a girl as pretty as you." he said walking over to my booth and sitting across from me.

"Oh, thank you" I said looking down into my lap and blushing

"You're even more beautiful when you blush." he said

"Thank you" I said still looking away from him

"How come a beautiful girl like you, is all alone, shouldn't you have a date?" he said smiling at me warmly.

" No, I just finished having diner with Nic..." I trailed off

"With who?"

"Um....forget it" I said finishing the last of my hot chocolate.

"Well you got a little something right here." he said picking up a napkin and whipping off my milk mustache.

"Oh, thanks" I said as he put the napkin back down.

There was a silent moment and during it I was thinking about Nickolas. I wonder if he's looking for me right now? I wonder if I hurt his feelings? I wonder if he's embarrassed because I walked out on him?

Well all those questions will be answered when I get home and If I'm lucky he might even tell me what's such a big secret that him and Ivan have to hide from me. But that's only if I'm lucky. It's getting late and I should probably be getting home by now, and I have work tomorrow.

I got up and put my coat on, all while he watched me.

"Where are you going?" he said

"Sorry, but I got to get home." I said while walking to the door.

"Are you walking?"

"Yeah"

"Let me walk you home." he said walking up behind me.

"It's ok, I can walk by myself, but thanks for the offer."

"No, I'm not going to let a pretty little thing walk home alone, especially at this time." he said while opening the door up for me.

"Ok" I said walking out.

We walked for a little bit just enjoying the nigh stars as I twinkled over our heads.

"What's your name?" I asked looking in his direction.

"Devin" he said looking at me.

"And what your name?"

"Alyssa" I said looking back at the sky

"No it's not" he said looking at me

"Yeah it is"

"Honestly I think that is the prettiest name for a girl" he said bumping my arm a little.

"Thanks at first I didn't like the name but it grew on to me"

"Do you have a middle name?" he said looking back up at the shimmering stars.

"Yeah, it's Marie ."

"SO it's Alyssa Marie...."

"Chambers" I finished for him

"And it's Devin..."

"Devin Louis Jordan" he said proudly

"Oh." I said

We were on the block of the house. When he grabbed onto my hand. I looked up at him and he was smiling down at me.

We got in front of the house when he pulled my hand up to his lips, brushed his lips across it slowly.

"Goodnight Alyssa Marie Chambers?" he said looking me in the eye.

"Goodnight Devin Louis Jordan" I said blushing, hoping that he couldn't see it due to the darkness.

"I'll see you soon." he said and with that he let go of my hand and started to walk away into the darkness.

I took my time going up the pathway and opening up the door. Thinking about him, I don't really know him but he was a nice guy. He had golden hazel eyes with dark brown hair. But that image was instantly erased out of my mine when I opened that door and Nickolas was behind it waiting for me.

"So you had a nice stroll in the park with your little boyfriend?" he said sarcastically

"He's not my boyfriend, he's just a guy that I meet at Dunkin Donutes, and he was being a gentlemen and walking me home because he didn't want anything to happen to me, anyways what's it to ya, at least he cares if I get home safe or not?" I said while taking off my coat and hanging it up than walking up the stairs

"Your clueless aren't you?, because I just spent the last hour looking for you, then I came home because cause I thought you would be here already, know tell me that I don't care, but know your really going to treat me like this?"

"Treat you like what" I yelled at him.

"You know what have it your way" he said while shaking his head and walking away.

Nickolas P.O.V.

She really thinks I don't care about here. She's got to be out of her mine if she thought I didn't care about her. I don't only care about her I love her, but she just doesn't see it, which only makes it even harder.
