I looked around the lake seeing how peaceful it was. Sitting here thinking back on everything I've done and how bad I fucked up.
My phone started vibrating so I grabbed it seeing it Janae. I declined the call not wanting to deal with her. I had broken up with her a few days ago because I didn't want her to get into my mess. She was already going through it since she suffered a miscarriage which I'm sure it was my fault from all the bs I put her through.
I was honestly ready to end this shit but I wasn't gonna take my life. I made a mistake by agreeing to this shit so I had to do what I had to do.
Feeling my phone ring again I grabbed it seeing that this time it was Cody.
"Fuck you want" I snapped answering the phone
"Well hello to you too little brother" He laughed
"Man what you want?"
"I just wanted to see if you got the good news" He said making me scrunch my face up
"What good news?"
"That yo mama and sister gone" He laughed "The famous KD is finally dead"
"She ain't dead ku. Yo ass just talking now"
"Oh so you haven't heard that someone lit yo house up with her and her people inside? Man them flames looked so beautiful" He laughed again
Instead of saying anything I hung up the phone running to my car hopping in pulling off speeding through traffic. I needed to get to house asap.
In less than 15 minutes I turned onto the block. I saw a lot of people with cameras out.
Pulling to the front of my house I was frozen. I didn't know what to do. The house was burned to the ground and all that was left were ashes. I got out the car trying to get a closer look but was stopped
"You can't get closer" the cop said putting his hand on my chest
"Get yo shit off of me. This my house" I told him pushing his hand off of me
I grabbed my phone dialing my mamas number praying that she'll answer but it kept sending me to voicemail.
"Bro what the fuck" I said as I dialed her other phone but the same shit happened.
I tried calling Buckz and them but nobody was answering.
I decided to call one of the twins and finally got an answer
"Preston where are you?" Loyalty asked answering the phone
"I had some stuff to handle where you guys at? Where's mama and dad at?"
"I don't know where moms at but Dad,BJ,AJ and KJ got booked along with uncle Mally over this past week" She said
"Why?" I asked confused
"We don't know. Mom said she was gonna get them out but I haven't heard from her"
"Ight listen stay where you at with whoever you with and make sure everyone good ight. Call me if you need anything" I told her hanging up
I got back in my car speeding to Cody's spot because some tells me he had some to do with all this shit.
Pulling up I parked the car turning it off before getting out and running to the door
"Where the fuck he at" I yelled running inside
"Why you yelling?"Cody asked coming into view
"You did this shit. I fucking told you that we were gonna do shit our way but you went ahead and took matters into your own hands" I pushed him making the dudes with him to grab me "You got my dad,uncle and brothers locked up. You made sure they got booked so that my mom would be alone" I yelled
"That's not your family Preston. They're nobody to you. We're your family" He threw his hands up
"Family? You ain't shit. Trust me I know how a family is suppose to act and it's nothing like this. That's my family whether you like it or not"
"And what do you think they'll say about you being their family once they find out you agreed to kill your own mother" He smirked walking closer to me
"You let me worry about that but just know you gonna end up like dad" I laughed
He pulled a gun out aiming it at my head
"Go ahead kill me. Kill me and end this shit" I told him knowing damn well he wouldn't do it.
He was too pussy to pull the trigger on anybody which was why our dad always had me with him because he knew wouldn't hesitate.
"Come on do it"
He looked at me in my eyes before putting the gun down. He walked out the room and they let me go.
I fixed myself before walking out the trap. I had shit I needed to handle

"Herb calm down" Tata said
"Man how can I calm down when there's a possibility that my daughter dead? How can I be calm when I was barely getting my daughter back and just like she's snatched from me?" I asked him as tears fell
It was taking everything in me not to go crazy and spazz out. I hated not having all the facts. They told that the dna testing and shit was going to take up to a week.
So for a whole fucking week I wasn't gonna know if my daughter was dead or in danger. Which mean that if she wasn't dead right now by the time I get to her she probably will be.
"I know you're hurting. We understand that but what good will you be for Leah if you get hurt or yourself locked up? How are you going to be able to safe her then?"Ali said
And she was right. How can I help her if I get myself into some shit.
"Any word?" Tata asked Maneski once he walked through the door with Shawn right behind him
"Nothing. They wouldn't even let us see Bibby and them"
"So what we do now?"
"What else can we do but wait"
I threw my head back trying to control myself.
"Herb your phone" Ali said passing me my phone
Checking I seen it was my son Joshua
"Hey kid" I answered as calm as possible
"Dad they took my mom and sister"
