As the light of the moon began to fade, the silhouettes of the murderers vanished with it, one of their claws covered in the crimson blood of their unfortunate victim. They sprinted off, looking back with no remorse.
The cats crept out of their dens, frowning at the sight of Dawnstar staring at the broken body of a cat in horror. A large ginger body was laying limp beneath her terrified gaze, covered in blood. Embertail was dead.
Embertail has been killed. He was one of the warriors.
"B-But these w-wounds... they look like claw marks. One of our own must have done this..." Dawnstar whispered, after she had finally found the energy to speak, struggling to recover from her shock.
Wildfeather marched forwards.
"Then we need to accuse someone!" the impulsive she-cat snapped, Sunnyhaze and Echolark nodding behind her.
