I sighed to myself as I got out of bed and padded off towards the bathroom, getting ready to start the day as I showered quickly and washed my face and brushed my teeth. I padded back to my room in my towel and opened my drawers.

I put on a pair of pink lacy underwear and a matching bra and went to my closet.

I grabbed a semi bright pink t shirt and a tribal print pencil mini skirt. I got dressed and walked to my vanity. I started drying my hair and my phone buzzed. I looked at it.

Destiny.

"Hello?" I answered.

"Hey girl. You wanna go to the mall? I gotta pick up my stuff from Victoria's Secret they ordered for me and then I'm gonna go look around, see if I see anything I like." She asked.

I smiled. "Yeah. I'm almost ready so I'll pick you up in a few." I said, hanging up.

I loosly curled my hair and did my make up, careful not to apply it too heavy knowing that it would get hot.

I slipped on my pink gladiaters and grabbed my bag and cell phone. I jogged down the stairs, walking into the kitchen and taking the travel cup with the straw that my Mandy, my step mom made me. It was filled with a protein/ energy/clensing water that she made for me every morning. I walked past the table, kissing the top of my dad's head as he sat at the table eating a bowl of corn flakes.

"Just a minute." My dad said, getting my attention before I could make it ten feet.

I turned and looked at him.

"Where are you going?" He asked, looking at me.

"To the mall and lunch with Destiny and then I'm gonna come home and get ready for Tucker's party later." I said, knowing he was gonna make me go.

"Tucker expects you there. It starts at four and I need you to make sure you get there before four thirty." He said, taking another bite of his cereal.

"Oh! And Annsley, don't forget your travel cup in your car this time." He said, winking at me.

I smiled at him and bent down to kiss Tucker on the head, looking at my dad again before I left, knowing he'd have something else to say.

"Your mom called." he said, standing up with his empty bowl.

I looked at Mandy who, in turn, looked away.

"Dad, I told you I don't wanna talk to her." I said, sighing and turning around.

"Honey, I know you're mad at her for lying to you but you can't be mad forever." He said.

I turned around. "She lied to both of us. Multiple times." I said. "As far as i'm concerned my mom's standing at that counter with you right now."

And with that I kissed Mandy on the cheek and walked out.

I unlocked my white Toyota corolla and opened the door. I got in and started it, hoping I didn't forget anything.

I turned on the radio and listened to the music from my phone begin to play through the speakers.

I took adrink of the water, tasting Strawberry andKiwi. Mandy usually tries to flavor it differently so that it doesn't get old.

I drove the two blocks to Destiny's house and honked.

A few seconds later she opened the door and got in.

I pulled away from the curb and she looked at me.

"So, where do you wanna go for lunch?" She asked, looking down at her phone.

I sighed and shrugged my shoulder.
