Cal: Sam, we got ourselves a little dilemma.
Sam: What's the issue?
Calvin: Well, we're actually running out of gas. I know, surprising. We've only been using the copter all day.
Sam: Don't be a smartass. Where's the nearest area we can siphon gas.
Calvin: It's close, but you're not gonna like it. It's an old UNSC refinery.
Ryan: Of course it is. So we're going right?
Sam: We don't have a choice.
After about 30 minutes, the helicopter runs out of gas. Unfortunately for the crew, it crash landed into the side of an enormous cliff.
Michael: What the hell were you two doing up there!
Calvin: Definitely not what's on your mind, pervert!
Ariane: Oh, shut up children.
Michael: Sophia, are you alright?
Sophia: I'm fine.. Just.. Damnit.. A little wound.
She uncovers her side to reveal a large shard of shrapnel sticking out of her side.
Michael: Hey.. No no. You're gonna be fine!
Sophia: Maybe coming on this mission wasn't such a good idea, sweetie.
Ariane: She's dying. We need to get her immediate help.
Ryan: We can't stop now.
Sam: Okay look.. Two teams. This place is sure to have some kind of medical supply, so Calvin and Ryan, You two get the gas. Ariane and I will get the medical aid.
Calvin: You got it, boss.
Ryan: We'll see you two on the other side.
The two groups run off in two separate directions, while Michael and Sophia stay behind.
Sophia: Hey. Listen, if I don't make it out of this, I want you to help them stop that man.
Michael: Don't talk like you're dying. You're going to be fine.
Sophia: You were always such an optimist. Seeing the light in dark situations. That's why I love you, dummy.
Michael: I love you too.. But you're not dying today. Or any time soon.
Ariane: So, big man. You and Carver, you seemed to be close.
Sam: He helped me become the soldier I am today. But I have no loyalty for him. Guess I should have known he would resort to such horrible lengths to win a war.
Ariane: You can't blame yourself for this. He murdered my brother, so we all saw the man he really is today.
Sam: I.. God I'm sorry..
Ariane: This bastard has killed too many people already as it is.
Sam: We'll stop him. I promise you that. Whatever it takes.
Sam gave her a weak smile, then immediately felt stupid because she couldn't see it through his helmet. Shortly after, the two of them hear footsteps echoing down the hall towards them. Sam signals Ariane to take cover behind the other side of the wall in the long, narrow hallway.
Sam: You got the one on the left?
Ariane: Are.. We still killing these people?
Sam: Only if we have to.. Remember, these men are just soldiers.
