First Entry!
Hello, my name's Richard, but you can call me Ringo! This is my journal, and from this day forward I'll keep entries of my life in here. I usually don't spell this well, but George is right next to me, and he helps me with me spellin'. If I didn't get help, I don't know if even I could read what I write down!! That wouldn't be so helpful, now would it?
So, here I am, sitting on a chair in the studio, with George by my side. He's munchin' on some of the snacks he brought from home. He almost got cookie crumbs all over me new book, and I was cross with him for a minute. Luckily, he's only helping me with spelling and not actually reading this. No, we're not sitting that close to each other. If we were, John and Paul would probably get the wrong idea and I'm not sure I wanna start with that. Speakin' of, John is messin with the piano while Paul's staring out the window. It's about 23:30, and in a few hours, Americans will be watching us on their television sets! We were taped for the show Shindig on the 3rd, and it's showing today in America! Anyway, I may as well write somethin actually interesting.
So, why am I writin' this? Yesterday, while we were working on a tune called Eight Days a Week, Paul gave me a small book he had lying around and said that I should use it to write down my feelings and whatnot. So, I was confused as to why I would ever write that stuff down (that's for girls!), but Paul insisted that this is a journal, or a notebook, rather than a diary! John said it could help me with creativity and lyric writin. I'm horrible at writtin me own songs...And we have to stay at the studio so late tonight, just to make sure our songs sound the way we want them to! So, I figured I might write some.
George just picked his guitar up and he's tuning it now, but doing it so carefully. He treats his guitar like his baby...although he doesn't have a baby (at least not that I know of). George is my best mate, and I decided to name this book after him, since he's helping me with most of this. So, let's try it...
"Dear George,"
Yes, I think that sounds pretty good! Oh, I'm excited to actually write down what's going on, because this is BORING and I don't like BORING!!
Okay, I think that they all want me to play the drums now...I need to rerecord somethin. I'll tell you more tomorrow, George!

(I thought that was a cool signature, because my name's Ringo Starr, and there's stars! Get it? Okay gotta go, bye bye!!)
