All was silent in the forest, the shadow of night casting a dark face upon the land. Everyone was sound asleep, with only the exception of the Hokage doing paperwork up in his tower, and the two gate guards watching for any sign of trouble. Letting out jaw-cracking yawns, the duo struggled to remain alert. Suddenly, a woman staggered into view, nursing a grievous wound. Limping her way forward, the two men on duty knew with heavy hearts that this woman would not survive to see the morning. The woman barely managed to reach them, collapsing at their feet. Looking upwards, the woman weakly lifted a bundle towards them. With a weak voice, she whispered out her final words. "Please, please take care of my daughter. Her name is..." Here, she trailed off into a coughing fit. When she finally regained her breath, it was to see one of the men holding her child, the other supporting her. With a soft smile gracing her lips, the woman whispered out two final words. "Seiza...Hoshi..." The men looked at one another as the woman breathed her last. The Hokage would have to be informed of this.
