Calista sits on the countertop waiting for the timer on the oven to go off but she's also waiting for her phone to ring. Elijah promised to call but it's been days and still no phone call.

Damon strolls into the kitchen and stops in his tracks when he see her.

"Good morning, Mr Salvatore," Calista says without looking up from her phone. She clicks out of the contacts and shuts it off, "You look quite startled. Is everything alright?"

He nods, "Completely fine. It's just a normal morning where memories of your ex wife flood back into your mind."

"Do you want me to take them back?"

"No," Damon answers and continues to stand in the spot he stopped on, "Did you take my last name when we got married?"

"Yes," She answers with a smile, "I became Mrs Damon Salvatore."

A smile spreads across his face and he finally moves from his spot to sit on the counter next to her, "I can't believe I knew an Original vampire."

"You didn't just know me, darling," Calista responds and hops off the counter to retrieve the brownies.

"Calista?"

"Yes?" She answers as she begins to cut the brownies in precise squares.

"Do you still love me?"

Immediately the red-head Original stops cutting the brownies and looks up. She doesn't turn around and just stands there for a moment thinking, "I will always love you, Mr Salvatore."

"Next question."

"Shoot," She responds and resumes to cut the brownies.

"Why did you never mention Klaus or Elijah? You seem awfully close to them," Damon observes as he watches her cut the brownies.

She sighes, "Because, I simply wanted to be with you without the mention of my family."

Calista moves to the fancy cabinet to grab a plastic container for the brownies. She sets it onto the counter and begin to fill it with her homemade brownies.

"What's with you and your brownies?"

"They're good," Calista reminds him and grabs one of the delicious brownies and makes her way over to him. She puts it to his lips and he responds by instantly taking a bite.

"Mmm," He hums, "You're right, they're good."

"Let's bring them to Elena," Calista suggests and presses the lid onto the container. She hands him the container and he hops off the container. She quickly grabs her phone as he sighs in defeat.

"Fine,"

An annoying ringing noise bounces off the walls of the Gilbert residence. Elena approaches the door with a sniffle and peers through the window before opening it.

"What are you doing here?" She asks politely, and wipes her nose.

"I made you brownies."

Elena nods and moves out of the way so they can enter the time. Calista makes her way to the dining table and places the container there.

Elena plops down on her couch and Calista moves to sit next to her.

"Jeremy and I have no one anymore."

"You have Alaric and Damon," She begins to list off and runs her fingers through her tangled hair, "You have me. If you need me tell me."

She nods and glances at Damon, remembering the kiss that they shared, "Tell me about when you were human."

"Well," She begins with a smile, "I had a sister and my nephew. My parents ended up abandoning us and all I had left was her. You know she look a lot like you. Maybe even exactly," Calista says and winks at her.

Realization spreads across her face and she sits up straighter, "We're related?"

"Yes," Calista answers and a smile grows across her face, knowing that she has family even if she is almost 1,000 years younger than her.

"What was her name?"

"Tatia," She answers with found-ness in her eyes, "Tatia was my everything. She took care of me when I needed it and always wanted to gossip. Somehow she always knew everything about everyone, Tatia and I were very loved by the village. We took care of everyone even though she flirted with almost every male she came across."

Elena chuckles and wipes away a stray year, "She sounds lovely."

"She was,"

"Do you miss being human?" Elena asks and Calista looks down at her hands thinking of a way to answer appropriately.

"Rebekah and I miss it the most," She answers truthfully, "I wanted to marry and have a big family. Grow old and die but life had different plans for me and I have learned to accept my eternity on this planet."

"Oh," Elena mumbles and Damon leans against the doorway.

"I'm perfectly content with who I am," Calista says and pulls out her buzzing phone from her pocket, "Excuse me," She makes her way out to the front porch and carefully sits down on the porch swing, "Hello?"

"Callie," Nik breathes out and Calista's heart skips a beat.

"Where's 'Lijah?"

"Around," Nik answers as a smile appears across his face. All he wants is for her to be by his side once more but he realizes that's going to take a bit of time, "How's Mystic Falls? Ready to join me and Stefan?"

"Nik," She whispers into the phone.

"I want you to be by side again," Nik explains to her and butterflies flutter around her stomach, "That's where you belong," When no answer comes from her lips she hears him sigh, "Callie, you can't resist forever. You can try, but sooner or later you're going to want to come home."

"Home? What home?"

Nik doesn't answer but glances back at Stefan who is approaching him, "Goodbye, Callie."

"Goodbye, Nik."
