"C'mon Emily," I yelled at her as we ran through the forest in her backyard. School was over and summer had just started. To celebrate, Sophie got to stay the night at her friend's house and I got to spend the night at Emily's. Sophie had made us promise earlier that day that we wouldn't go to Elvendale, but I didn't care, I wanted to see my boyfriend.

Cronan Darkroot was my captor turned ally turned boyfriend. On my first visit to Elvendale he had kidnapped Sophie and I in an attempt to get Emily's amulet that her grandmother had given her. I quickly persuaded him to allow me to work with him and we soon became friends. Then we realized we both liked each other. Cronan turned over a new leaf and helped Emily, Sophie, and the Elves defeat the Shadow Beast. After that, Cronan and I kissed and started dating. I haven't been back to Elvendale since.

"I'm coming, I'm coming... why don't you run this fast in gym?" Emily asked me through gasps for breath.

"Because in gym we aren't running towards a portal that will take us to a magical universe."

"Fair enough," Emily said. We started walking to the portal. "So i'm guessing you're excited to go back?"

"Well duh! Are you?"

"Are you more excited to get away from earth or to see your boyfriend?"

"Both," I giggle as we take our last steps towards the portal. "Do your thing."

Emily nodded and took her amulet in her hand. She held it out and as she did it started to glow. The huge oak tree in front of us started lighting up too until a big portal had opened up. Emily walked in first, followed by me.

When I step out into Elvendale I immediately trip over Emily and fall on top of her. I laugh a little as I stand and help Emily up also.

"Sorry, I tripped over that stick," She explained.

"It's fine, I'm not hurt."

"Lets go," Emily says, brushing herself off, "their all waiting for us at Farren's treehouse."

We both start heading for the treehouse when a question pops into my mind. "How do you know that they are all at the treehouse?"

"Oh, I um... came here a week ago and told them."

"Without me!" I exclaimed.

"Just to tell them you were coming!"

"Ok, I'll let it slide... this time." After that we both laughed and kept walking till we found a giant treehouse in the middle of a field. "Is this it?" I asked because I've never seen the new treehouse before.

"This is it," Emily confirms.

I look up to the treehouse in the field. It was big and fitted nicely with the tree. The body of the building was a faded light blue while the roof was a faded dark blue. The steps that wove around the tree trunk and up to the treehouse looked like oak. There was also a large balcony that peered over the field and the forest.

I was in awe of the beautiful building when I noticed someone leaning on the railing of the balcony. It didn't take me long to figure out who it was. When the elf noticed us coming she yelled excitedly to the others before using her wind magic to lift herself off the balcony and down next to us.

"Emily! Y/N!" She gushed while giving us both a tight embrace.

"Aira! I missed you," I tell her.

"We've all missed you too. Come on, we've got to show you the new treehouse!" With that she took my wrist and ran off toward the treehouse.

We climbed up the slightly squeaky stairs till we reached a wooden door. It was the same type of wood as the stairs with a gold door knob and pictures of a leaf, a wave, a fire, and a pair of wings in the middle of the door. When Aira opened the door we were greeted with another set of spiral stairs. To my relief, Aira led us around the staircase and over to a huge lounge area. There were couches, stools, chairs, tables, and an unrealistic amount of throw pillows. Straight ahead from the lounge, with no walls or doors to separate it, was the balcony.
