"fifa? is that game even fun?" i ask.
michael's eyes widen. "yes! and youre going to play it right now." he says, putting the disk in the playstation.
he puts on the tutorial for me so i can practice, then we begin to play.
"hey you're actually pretty good!" michael says as i fiddle with the controller, resulting in me losing.
"yeah, im soooo good." i say sarcastically.
"you still don't understand this game, huh?" he asks, turning his head towards me.
"no idea."
michael puts his controller down and scoots closer to me.
"okay, this button right here is to shoot." he says, his hands on mine on top of the controller im using. "this button is to steal the ball, and this button here is to pass."
he lets go of my touch and we begin to play another game.
"hey, i think im getting the hang of it." i say, smiling.
that being said, i actually make a goal.
i threw my hands up in the air, cheering in victory.
"that was really impressive!" michael says, clapping his hands.
i flip my hair, confidently, and we continue to play.
ღ
michael ended up winning the game because i told him not to go easies on me.
"good game, denise." michael says, standing up.
"thanks. you too, clifford." i say, also standing up.
we shake hands, laugh at what we just did, and walk to the living room.
as soon as we both sat on the couch, we hear a knock at the door.
"you'll get it." i tell michael.
he shakes his head, while smiling, and gets the door.
"hey! we're baaaaaack!" luke yells, fabulously.
"hello, boys." i greet the three aussies.
"hello... girl." calum replies, causing me to chuckle. "i want apple juice, who else wants some?"
"me, please." i flash a smile and he nods.
i think i might have this tiny tiny tiny crush on calum.
its just his smile, the words that come out of his mouth, and he's just so charming. i honestly wouldn't be surprised if he was a prince from some royal kingdom.
"denise?" ashton says, breaking me out of my thoughts.
"hey, ash." i smile.
"hi!" he giggles slightly. "what were you doing while we were gone?"
"i played fifa with michael." i reply, sitting on the couch next to luke.
"you play fifa?" calum asks, handing me my glass of apple juice.
i smile a 'thanks' and say, "i just learned how to play today. it's really fun."
"why did you give her apple juice? that's so random of you." luke laughs.
calum just shrugs. "she wanted to drink some apple juice."
"how do you know?" luke argues.
"well, i kinda yelled, 'i want apple juice, who else wants some' and denise responded."
