HAILEY'S POV

WE HAVE ARRIVED AT ATLANTA'S AIRPORT and I groaned when the sun rays hit my closed eyelids. I opened my eyes and my eyes felt watery and crusty from all the sleeping.

Oh shoot, I rewind yesterday situation and I haven't told Chris and Carree (Carter's and Bree's ship name) about me leaving LA. I spotted a phone on Derek's thigh, I tried to reach for it but Derek's eyes were as fast as an eagle, he slapped my hand away and I whimpered.

Eliezer grabbed my luggage, since when did I bring my luggage? I think Mom packed for me. I sighed, Mom and Dad seriously never cared for me. I mustered a neutral face and glanced at Derek and Eliezer. The plane was about to land off and they were ready to get rid of me and dumped me on this city. I frowned at my thoughts and a few minutes later, the plane was steady and that's mean we were on the ground right now. Eliezer grabbed my luggage meanwhile Derek grabbed my arm and dragged me outside the jet.

The wind splashed me like a whirlwind and I found the urge to tie my hair into a ponytail. Derek tugged me into the car and I think my butt was starting to numb from it. I resisted the pain but I can't because Eliezer and Derek stared at me as if I'm some wiggly worm.

Several hours later, my butt was in pain. 'Bring me to the nearest hospital, idiots!' Not a good idea if I said that to them and also, I couldn't say that out loud because my voice was raspy.

We arrived at a penthouse and Eliezer dragged me inside.

I was awe of the penthouse. It screamed elegant, the living room was much more sophisticated. The walls were painted in beige and the floor was covered with an enormous, soft brown carpet. The kitchen utensils were complete and I think genie had granted me my wishes.

Eliezer and Derek left earlier after dropping my luggage.

"Wait, wait!" But I was too late, they were nowhere to be found. I sighed and scanned the living room for the telephone. Result; zonk. There's no phone and sunlight, did grandpa wanted me to suffer from depression? I groaned out loud and started to awaken my Godzilla form- I'm kidding.

I closed the door and walked in the middle of the living room.

I hauled my luggage into my room. The room was painted in cherry red wallpaper and blue-ish floor tiles. My bed were plain white with a cursive letter in the middle. It spelt, H. Typical Grandpa. I accidentally flailed my hands and knocked some papers on the desk near the bed. Then, a paper caught my eyes.

I read the paper and frowned in disagreement.

Grandma and Grandpa enrolled me on a high school here and I clicked my tongue in annoyance. I wanted to call them and yell at them so badly but I realized there was no phone here. All I can do was attend the school and cope in there. Meanwhile, I planned an escape plan in the living room but a rustle boomed in the kitchen.

Terrified was the word that I could use right now, I was sauntering slowly to the kitchen and gasped when I saw Mandy here.

"What are you doing here?! Wait, wrong question. Why are you here?" I asked frantically. I was messing with my hair right now, a drama queen I know but grandpa and grandma and even her parents would go all buffalo on her. She hushed me and placed her index finger on her lips. I followed her movement but then I tiptoed to the counter, she was hiding there and I poked her left side. She shrieked and scrambled away from me. I snickered and she glowered at me.

"You know what? I was trying to help you here," she blurted.

"Why?" I asked.

"Just pity you, I guess." We all knew that was not her full answer. Maybe she also hated grandpa and grandma or, she just wanted a fresh start here.
