In the last part I wrote about the honor killings and kidnapping cases. Well, I would like to state that luckily the kidnapping cases came to a halt. But the honor killings never come to a halt or pause if you live in Pakistan.
I remember clearly when I was in eighth grade, there were relatively few reported REPORTED cases of honor killings.
Now my eighth grade finished and if you live in Pakistan then you know that in matric system there is pre ninth. For the ones who don't know it's basically a class for 2-3 months before you ninth grade starts. My pre ninth started on 1st January 2018.
On 9th January 2018, I came from school and I was tired like extremely tired. After getting changed, I didn't sat with my family for lunch rather I ate my lunch in my room. So, due to that reason I didn't watched the TV. After eating my lunch, I slept. I woke up at 6 o'clock. When I woke up my sister literally jumped on me and said the celebrities are posting that the person who will help police in catching the murderer of zainab. They will reward him or her with a huge amount. At that moment I had no idea about what the hell my sister was talking about. I asked who is zainab? She went silent for a minute and then said you didn't watched the TV? I said no. She replied with well so a girl named Zainab Ansari whose age was 8. Was raped and then killed horribly. Her body was found in a heap of garbage. A sketch has been drawn of the man who is suspected to be the assailant. The police got it from a footage captured from the CCTV camera.
The moment she ended, my jaw was on the floor and my mind was like did she just told me that she was of 8, she was raped and then was killed. I was at loss of words. How can someone be so cruel, so animalistic well not even animalistic, even more worse, this was just beyond inhumane and any word you have for something horrible and terrible.
Shortly after the cases was broadcasted, different protests started and many people started efforts in arresting the assailant. This was a case in which all political entities came together. The police started DNA testing people and even bio metrics were being carried out because the had the fingerprints.
After a series of events, on 23rd January, the chief minister of Punjab announced that the assailant has been arrested. His name was Imran Ali. He stated that his polygraphs and DNA did not only match with the samples taken from Zainab but also matched to the samples of 8 other victims. Who were also raped and killed. (Note: This happened in city of Punjab named Kasur)
What was now revealed, was even more shocking and brain twisting. The assailant participated in the protests which were held to support zainab and in order to find the assailant. He also went to the funeral of Zainab. Like are you fucking kidding me. How can you have the audacity to first rape her, then kill her, then dump her body in a heap of garbage and then got to her funeral and participate in protests which are basically against you. Like what the actual motherfucking fuck. This is just absurd.
Later on who are thinking what happened to the assailant. Well he was hung in October 2018 in Kot Lackpat Jail, Lahore. For attempting rape and murder of 12 minors.
At the end I will just say that this case is just one of the cases which are reported. There are countless cases which are not reported it's sad to say that people get embarrassed of something that they did not even do and just allowed the lie to eat themselves up. And for those who are having difficulties in reading this chapter due to violence, I will recommend not to read the next 3 parts because they will also be about this matter and they might be more violent.Thank you for the 49 reads.
