"Hey guys, this is Corbyn, he is gonna sit with us today." I placed my lunch tray on the table and sat down next to Jonah. Corbyn sat down on the other side of me.
"Hi." Christina said with a smile, followed by the others waving in his direction.
"Are you going to Jack's in Friday?" Jonah asked taking a sip from his chocolate milk.
"Well duh," I grinned, "only if you're going though." I nudged his arm with my elbow.
"Well, be glad, I'm going too." he nudged my arm back.
"The amount of sexual tension between the two of you is making me sick." Jack said before pretending to throw up.
"Oh shut up." I held my middle finger up to him as he did the same.
"Who are you going to take to the student council lunch?" Jack raised and eyebrow indicating that I should take him. The student council lunch happened every marking period. Everyone that was a member got to invite one person to eat Pizza Hut in Mrs. Hutches room during lunch. To me it wasn't a big deal but to my friends it was their only chance to get out of eating cafeteria food for an afternoon. I would always take Jonah or Christina.
"Take me, you've never taken me." Zach pouted. I glared at him and shook my head. He would not ruin my good pizza.
"You're gonna take Jonah again aren't you." Jack crossed his arms.
"You know what, I think I'm gonna take my new bud Corbyn." I turned to him and he looked at me in shock.
"What?" He furrowed his eyebrows.
"I mean you don't have to go if you don't want to, but it would be cool if you did." I shrugged.
"Okay." He smiled. He was so awkward I loved it.
—
"Are you and Jonah a thing yet or what?" Christina spun around my room in my desk chair.
"No, I wish. God he's so fucking hot." I played with my hair laying flat on the bed.
"Mom and Dad." Christina joked.
"Shut up." I laughed, grabbing a pillow and throwing it at her.
"Abuse!" She yelled throwing it back at me. I propped my head up with it.
"Call the cops." I rolled my eyes.
"Corbyn is cute, don't you think?"
"Yeah he's pretty cute." I agreed.
"Do you think if I asked him to see a movie with me he would?" She questioned.
"I don't know, maybe. I mean you just met him today, he might think it's a little weird."
"Yeah, but what if I don't and then someone else asks him out or he asks someone else out." She frowned.
"Go for it. Shoot your shot. He kept looking at you during lunch." I raised my eyebrow.
"What really?" she asked excitedly.
"Yeah, I saw it from the corner of my eye. Maybe he was just looking at you because you're ugly." I smirked.
"You're so mean." she frowned, crossing her arms.
"It was too easy."
"Was he actually looking at me though?"
I shook my head yes.
