"Fulfill the promise that we made, whether the world stops you, you have to come back to me and fulfill the promise that we made" is what she said to me years ago bearing a smile that send tears in your eyes. How can I fulfill the promise, that sweet little promise that we made. "Shit! Where is she?" I abruptly said looking for her around the crowded streets of the city, the unusual cold breeze in the summer air, the soft breathing of small children tightly holding hands, I sat down in a nearby bench holding my hands together as the wind grew stronger, the bright city lights, the footsteps of strangers evoked nostalgic memories from when we were still together. My hope was dissolving as is it were ice in the middle of the summer heat. I stood up from my seat, looked around one last time before hoping, wishing she'd at the very least show up, I just need to see her, just one last glance of her face before I let go, I silently prayed, prayed that she'd show up, as minutes passed I gave up, I started walking along the streets of our past trying to recall every memory we shared, the memories bad and good flowed into my head, tears in my eyes, as I realized I might not meet her ever again, and I would just have to move on, lord oh god please just on last time. "Hey Zach!" the sudden brim of hope shined, that voice, I looked back, I gazed at her, my prayers were answered, it was really her, tears rolled down my cheeks, "Hey, I found you"  she smiled.
