Star Wars:

The Hunt For Bridger

Prologue:

It's been such a long time, Sabine thought, But I will find you Ezra. I made a promise to you. Sabine's arms rested on the railing, her eyes grazing over the grasslands of Lothal. The weight of the promise she made to Ezra was heavy, like a bantha had planted itself on her chest, suffocating her every moment that she thought about where he would be, and if he was okay. From behind her came Ahsoka, dressed head to toe in a sand colored garment with the hood pulled over her head. Following her was a silver and blue plated astromech droid.

Ahsoka rested her hand on Sabine's shoulders, and stared to the sky. She felt as though she had to give Sabine some form of comfort to let her know she wasn't alone, to let her know the weight of that bantha on her chest was also hers to bear. "Come, Sabine, the ship is ready, we've got a lost Jedi to rescue." Ahsoka turned her head to Sabine and gave a weak half smile- weak not because of a lack of faith in their ability to find the young Jedi, but weak because of her journey to arrive to this moment. She turned to her astromech companion, "Are you ready Artoo?" R2-D2 gave a nervous "dwoo" and turned towards the direction of the ship and led on, Ahsoka and Sabine in tow.

Ahsoka had reunited with Artoo through an old friend, Lando Calrissian, who said he was looking after the astromech until his master returned for him. Ahsoka, not knowing the droid's new owner, convinced the scoundrel that she would have the droid back to him before the owner noticed. And thus she again accompanied by her old friend. It was a weight of her own she secretly bore, seeing Artoo again. It reminded her of her past. Her past as a Jedi Padawan. And of her former Master, Anakin Skywalker. Anakin... She thought to herself. Why?

Upon arrival to the ship, it appeared Lando had been a little more generous with his aid, supplying Ahsoka not only with R2D2, but also a cloud car. Sabine's eyebrow raised and her forehead creased, "A... cloud car? When you said 'ship', I was thinking something a little more... ship-y"

Ahsoka laughed, "Well, I already wrung Lando of Artoo here, I couldn't possibly bargain for more than a simple cloud car."

Sabine rolled her eyes and smiled, "That's Lando for you."
