Who could've guessed that this court case would be your most difficult? You certainly wouldn't have thought so, but you never would've, would you? Not unless you were facing yourself; then you would worry, perhaps, but no one could guarantee such a fact without meaningful evidence. You know that. That's your golden rule, not any of that "treat others how you want to be treated" bullshit. The cloud of thoughts puff up in your mind like a sandstorm, as if closing in on your priorities. You treat yourself to quite the large amount of sugar and creamer, because hey, you deserve it. You drown your coffee within seconds, and you rise from your seat to set the cup in the sink. Then, you return to the comfortable embrace of your most familiar books. You read through for an hour or so, looking for something, anything, on your opponent. You find not much more than the conclusions that your sharp mind can draw all on its own. Well, it seems that yore about as ready as you'll ever be.
