S44

1. I have to escape

If you go through the white halls you will pass by some computer rooms, then when you continue walking deeper into the building you will see a lot of seperate rooms all used for some experiments. Then you would pass by a big door that has a sign 'COLOSEUM' above them. And if you go on the bottom floors you would see what all those things were meant for.

There are a lot of prison like cells. By them standing guards. And inside of them you would see..
..kids?

On the third floor are babies and toddlers age 0-4. On the floor under that one, second floor are kids of age 4-8. And on the bottom, third, floor are all the rest from 8 year olds and above.

How do all that kids get just on that one floor, you ask? Well, there are, compared to other two floors, the least number of kids. To get to live on that floor, you first need to survive.

          S44's POV:
Once i woke up i was taken to one of the experimant labs to take my daily tests. They took our body measures every week and tested our bodys, brain and powers with more special tests.

After that we went to COLOSEUM, where the real test start. We would be split in grups of 4. But even tho we are in a group, everyone was on their own here.

I waited my groups turn while sitting on a chair. I played with my snow white hair and then tied it up in a ponytail so it wouldn't get in way.I looked at the other three members of my group and greeted them.

"So, i'm in group with you again!" Said black haired boy named Zack while looking at his best friend Logan.

"This time i'm gonna win! Just you wait Zack!" brown haired boy yelled, his green eyes shining.

"You two still play that stupid game?" Said blond girl next to me.

I just standed there. My roommate was in another group. But I knew all the kids from my floor, since there was so litlle of us.

We started discussing our plan, and there was nothing much to discus becouse there is no teamwork after we enter there. We just split the grounds in four regions so we wouldn't get in eachothers way.

We were interupted by a woman that entered in the room. She told us it was our turn and gave us a white device. It was like glove and i put it on my right hand. It was measuring my power level used in test.

We are not quite ordinary humans. We all were born with this....powers. I myself don't know why but i know that those powers are reason for this experiments.

We could master a lot of powers: fire, teleportation.....etc. Some of us were exeptionaly talented at some powers.

This devices measure the power level we use and the COLOSEUM tests measure the way we are using them. So like that we are seperated in ranks by our code name. E - being the lowest rank, usualy these kids die first so i dont know enyone with that rank.

Above 10 years of age there are no kids under rank B. The stronger your power the biger the rank, but the way we are using the power has its own scale. So if you are gifted with a lot of power but not using it right the best you could score was B. If you are not gifted but know how to use it B is your highest rank.

I'm as my name indicates S rank. I am the only one of that special rank. Meaning, i'm somthing of a top lab rat. Both my power and the strategy are full marks.

            S44's POV:
We entered the COLOSEUM it was a forest this time. It sometimes changes its playground. Last time it was a desert.

After we are left inside, we have 5 minutes to prepare and run in every direction we wanted. After 5 minutes they let monsters inside.

Basicly, our task is to survive untill the time is up. It usualy takes around 30 minutes. We are alowed to use our powers and everything we find inside the playground as we please.

It has been around 10 minutes now and just one monster found me. I lured it deeper in the forest and then a wild gient man eating plant ate it.

I planted it there with my 'nature manipulation' power, not one of my strong suits but it works the best in this kind of teren.

After 15 minutes something strange started happening. The monsters started getting kind of bigger and more inteligent. Are they testing us to our limits now?

Well, that is bad. Every time that happens someone dies.

I made some traps to see what these new monsters got. I did that to see their strenght and inteligence level.

Based on the information i got i started adapting to them, eliminating one monster after another. Then time was up.

I sigh and went to the exit. It opened and just me and Zack exited. Wait! Does this mean...? I saw that Zack was injured, but what i paid most intetion to was his shocked face. Then i heard some noice behind me. It was Logan.

Zack sighs in relief and then helps his friend that was covered in wounds. They both were A rank. A- to be exact, it just means that they are little above B but not exactly A rank either.

Sasha, the blond girl in our group, was B rank. She didn't make it. We entered the room. Boys were trembeling. Who wouldn't?  This just means that the next time they raise test dificulty they are dead.

They started talking about how they should train more or strategize better. I thought about something else.

'Wait! Did they raise the test dificulty in all groups? If so then....!!' I thought as an image of my best friend flew throught my mind. She was my best friend and roommate since we were 8. But...she was B rank. Does that mean...?

I went to lunch but didn't see her in dining hall. Not in a library, not in a garden. I even checked all the bathrooms! But....she was nowhere to be found.

Then, since i still had a little bit of free time, i went to check the list of kids on this floor. There was a list of us where they would write our scores and stuff. And when someone died they would be written of the list.

I didn't go there first because i was afraid. I wanted to keep that little hope, but....now...

I ran throught the white hallways passing by guards and some familiar faces and eventualy got to the staircase that lead up to second floor. Next to the staircase was a paper on the wall. My name, as i was S rank, was on top of the list.

'She is B rank, so i should find her somewhere at the bottom.' I thought.
My eye widend at what i saw. There was no B rank kids anywhere.

I started looking in A ranks. 'Perhaps she moved a rank up?' I thought. But no. Her name wasn't on the list. The name 'Lea' was nowhere to be found on it.

I looked down at my shoes emotionlessly and then without lifting it up walked to my cell where i was alone now.

Was i suppose to be angry, sad or lonely? No. I was....i don't know. At one moment i was sick of my life. In the next i wanted to kill that guard that standed in front of my cell guarding it. Then i wanted to kill myself for....not doing anything, not that i would know what to do. And in the end all those emotions just....vanished.

I was just sitting there on my bed. I didn't cry. My lifeless eyes looking at my now dead best friends bed. Then i heard someone crying.

It was in the cell next to mine. Sasha's roomate Layla cried. Then i looked at Zack's and Logan's cell. They looked devistated, not that i blame them. With those injures they just might be next.

I didn't have a problem with new monsters at all. 'But....i can't just stay here.' One day it will get to me. I will be next. The thought of it made me hug my body. Then i looked at my friends. 'I.....don't want to see any more of my friends gone.'

       'I need to escape this place!'
