Chapter thirty seven

Shawn's pov

I woke up with Alex next to me. My hockey jersey was on her and I smiled softly. I grabbed my phone and saw it was four. I got up immediately realizing I was going to be late for practice in thirty. I woke up Alex and told her I had to go to practice.

She got up and fixed her hair and got dressed. "Do you want to go with me?" I asked

"No you're going to practice. Your game's not till six." She said and I nod.

"I'll drop you off. There's a short cut." I said and she nodded. We walked out the room and I saw Anna walking out the bathroom. She looked at us both and went into her room without saying anything. We headed out and I dropped her off.

I sped to practice and ran in the arena with my gear.

"Mendes! You're late!" My coach yelled

"Sorry! Sorry! I overslept!" I said heading into the locker room. I quickly got dressed and put on my skates. I grabbed my helmet and headed out to the rink.

"So shawny boy! Is that girl of yours coming?" Zac said bumping into me.

"Yeah whats it to you?" I said hitting the puck and pushing him out the way.

"Nothing. Would just be nice to her. All of her." He laughed at the last part and I slammed him to the barrier.

"Ignore him." Matt said skating past us. I let him go and continue practicing.

We all headed to the locker room. I heard moaning from a phone and I look around. I see a group of guys huddling around.

"Have you seen this video of Ryan and his girl?" A new guy said coming up to me and showing the video to me. I walked away from them remembering that that was me and Alex before too. I felt a knot form in my stomach. I hit the showers quickly before putting on our game gear.

"Listen. Ignore all of them. You know how they are with their jokes. You can't turn on them. We're a family." Brian said sitting next to me and I rolled my eyes.

"You know how Zac is. He cracks jokes all the time." Matt said

"I don't care. He says something about Alex and it's over for him. We're family right? Siblings fight. So I'll fight him." I said and they both sighed and got up the bench and started getting ready.

I got up and put on my gear. "Alright guys, let's go!" My coach said And we all headed out to the ice, I looked around trying to find her. Matt elbows me and nods in a direction and I look and I see Alex and Brie sitting together and I smiled. She saw me and waved. She looked cute in my jersey. Can't wait to rip it off of her.

"Huddle up!" My coach said and I skated towards them and we all huddled and I zoned out while he explained the game plan like always. I never follow and we always end up winning. "Alright, let's kick some ass!" He yelled and we went out onto the ice.

"I see your precious little girlfriend. She's cute." Zac said and I felt my muscles tense up.

"Yeah she is." I said and the ref blew the whistle. I skated and the opposite team came towards us. I blocked one of them and I got the puck. I hit it towards Matt.

"Would be a shame if I happened to talk to her. Bet I could make a better video with her than yours." Zac said and I ignored him and took the anger out on the opponents.

Alex's POV

Shawn looked cute in his gear. I had to drag Brie to this game. She didn't want to come since they ID at the bar. She lost her ID and made up a story about her and Matt were at a park and she thinks how someone pick pocketed her. When in reality it's probably in Matt's car.
