Prologue

I might be bold, successful and independent at the present time. But every time I look back to the past, I am the total opposite of it. You, yes you reading this crap I wrote, might be wondering how I did I changed myself? Here it is.

By the way, I am Nicole Berkins. I live alone. I am 23 years old. A Professional and Successful Person.

Right now, I am here at the famous Central Park. Oh, I forgot to mention that I live in a Penthouse in New York City. Okay, back to the Central Park, I just came here for a walk. Just you know, walk away from stress and also to get some fresh air. Anyways, my profession is the Wardrobe Director of the famous and world-renowned magazine, The Cosmopolitan. Well, sometimes being me is quite fun but most of it, trust me if I tell you that it is more stressful than answering a College Algebra problem.

Being the wardrobe director, you are in-charge of everything. By everything, the head accessories to necklaces to dresses and the list goes on. Our editor somewhat related to me. He, and yes he is a male, is my neighbor and my cousin, Petter Kingsley. He was just appointed last month due to the resignation of the original editor, Edna Lockhart, which was also his Mentor. By the way he's not gay or homosexual or somewhere in those lines. He just, by any chance, loves fashion and lifestyle. He is just also got married a year ago to his wife, Terri Williams, which is now Terri Kingsley. Thanks to me, though. Well, Terri was a friend and block-mate of mine back in UCLA. It was an accident how they met, which also known as destiny.

Okay, back to reality. So, I got tired of walking around and I got a feeling that I look like a lost dog walking around the park looking for no one. What I did is sat to the nearest bench I saw and plugged my earphones to my ears. I let the lyrics of the music swallow me whole. I closed my eyes in order to do so. But before I could close my eyes, something, or someone rather, caught my eye. Sh*t.

It was him.

He is the one I have been avoiding for more than 6 years.
