~ If nobody is coming from the future to stop you, then how bad if a decision can it really be? ~

Here I was. Sitting in the dressing rooms in the Graveyard. Talking to Léna Key's abnoxious and arrogant older brother.
Yeah. I can't get my head around it either.
"Yeah, one night I was out and I heard this intense screaming. It turned out to be Léna trying to get into Blooming Petals, she was roaring. It was frightening to be honest. She kept saying something about how she had to show she was sorry while banging on the door until eventually I had to pull her away and hold her as tight as I could while she trashed furiously in my arms. I didn't realise it was her until after she had calmed down. She told me after that Levi said they were moving again, but I don't think that was the full story"
I looked up at Alaric to find a dark look across his face. His jaw was clenched again with a distant look in his eyes, as if remembering something.
"Why hasn't she told you any of our secrets?" He asked. He seemed utterly confused by this, and that confused me.
"She used to just tell me she couldn't say"
A silence fell over us. It wasn't awkward or comfortable. It was just a silence. I stared at my bloody knuckles as he stared at the lockers ahead. I wasn't really feeling this conversation so I knew I wouldn't be the one to break the silence. I mean, the first time I met him he basically downgraded me with a look. Not that I wasn't used to it. But it doesn't mean I forget it.
"There's nothing I can say to keep you away from her, is there?"
"Nothing"
My answer was quicker than I would have liked but I pretended not to notice. He sighed in annoyance and ran a hand through his hair.
"You're known as a monster in this town" He stated bluntly. I fought the urge to roll my eyes as he blatantly stated the obvious. I didn't say anything. I didn't agree or disagree. I was aware that people did see me as that. At times I don't mind it. But something about Lénas brother being aware of it didn't settle too nicely with me.
"She said I remind her of you"
We both snapped our heads to one another as we both said the sentence simultaneously.
Awk-ward
I shrugged my shoulders while he let out an awkward chuckle.
"How long have you been fighting?" his question caught me off guard as I tensed next to him.
"Couple years" I shrugged casually. I saw him look at me in the corner of my eye. He knew I didn't like this topic. He probably saw it as an opportunity. So he continued to press on the subject.
"Why'd ya start?"
"Family's financial situation"
"That it?"
"Wanted a back bone"
"Why'd ya continue?"
"Enjoyed it"
"What does your mother think?"
I gritted my jaw and stood up. I walked over to the lockers with my fists clenched tightly. With each question I could feel the beat of my heart increase and by now it was rapidly banging in my eardrums.
"She doesn't think anything" I answered hoarsely.
"Because she's dead"
Bastard.
