"It's only for a week." Dad says.

"I know. But I still think it's useless." I mutter the last part.

We are at the other hospital. I'm about to be committed for a week. We walk inside and dad goes to the reception lady and gives her my information.

"Alright. Syana, if you would come this way we will start getting you settled in." She says. She walks me to a small room and has me wait there.

A few minutes later, another woman walks in. She has on a doctor outfit.

"Alright. We will start by having you take off all of your clothes. It's just to make sure you didn't bring anything harmful." She states. Not only do I have to be here for a week, I have to get undressed in front of her also?

I start taking off my clothes and once they're off, she makes me slowly turn then she hands me a pair of sweats and a t-shirt. I throw on the clothes as fast as I can.

"Now, I will be showing you to your room. Everyone that came with you is in there waiting to say bye." She says. I nod my head then we start walking out the room. We get to a door and she uses her badge to open the door.

We walk down one corridor then take a left and we stop in front of the first door on the right. She opens the door and it reveals the room. Dad, Reece, and Jai are all standing there. The room is pretty small. It has a small twin size bed in one corner, and a night table beside it. Then there is a rack with clothes on it. The clothes I brought. They must have hung them for me.

"Y'all have five minutes." She says, then walks out and closes the door behind her.

"Remember, it is just to help you." Jai says. "It's just a week then you will be back home sleeping in your own bed."

I nod my head then I take a step toward them. But they all take a step back which causes me to give them a confused look.

"While they had you out there, they was telling us that we have to stay away. It's for health reasons." Dad says.

"So y'all can't get the chance to give me something." I say. They nod there head then the lady walks back in.

"Alright, times up." She says.

"I love y'all." I say.

"We love you." They say back.

The lady walks them out and it takes a few minutes so I sit down on the bed. It is hard. It feels like it's not really even a bed.

A few minutes later, the lady walks back in. "So, my name is Mrs. Wells. I will be with you for majority of the day today. I will show you around, and stuff." She says.

"Right now, it's time for the day room. After lunch is when we all go to the day room. We talk in a circle for a little bit then there are games in there everyone can play." She states. She stands up and walks to the door, so I stand and follow her.

We walk down a few corridors then we end up at double doors. They are already open so we just walk in.

There are chairs put in a circle with some filled with people. Mrs. Wells has me sit in one that's beside a girl. Not long after, all the chairs are filled.

"Alright guys. We got someone new that came in today. Syana. Hello. I am Dr. Cain. I am the therapist for circle talk. Everyone has there own therapist that they talk to once a week." He says. "As I have people talking, they will say there names. When we get to you, you will say your name."

The guy that is sitting next to him starts talking. "I'm Leon. So, today makes it a month since I have been here. The scars that are on me from when I tried committing suicide are looking a lot better today." He states. I subconsciously cover my wrists.

So everyone goes around stating there name, saying how they feel, and just talk about anything, everyone's eyes turn to me.

"Oh, um, I'm Syana. Today's my first day. I just got here. I tried to kill myself. I don't know what else to say." I softly say.

"Well, tell us why you tried to kill yourself." Dr. Cain says. I don't want to. I don't want to tell my story.

"It's a pretty long story. There was complications in my life for awhile so I just decided I couldn't take it any longer." I state.

"Alright. I can tell you aren't going to tell us more. We understand. You don't feel comfortable doing so. How are you feeling?" He says.

"Uh, I feel okay." I say.

"Alright, so because you was new is why we talked about why we are here." He says. "Tomorrow will be different."

"Alright, so here's to the last of this. Like I say everyday, don't ever let something bad take you down. You can go through it. Always fight through that storm, because at the end of it, you will be so proud of yourself." Dr. Cain says.

Everyone starts getting up going anywhere else in the room. I just stay seated where I am.

"So, what we usually do now is just talk amongst ourselves. Or play games. Over there is a girl playing a game. Go play with her." Dr. Cain says to me.

I walk over to her and sit in front of her. "Could I play a board game with you?" I quietly ask.

"Sure. I have a question though." She says.

"Did you try to kill yourself because of that guy that kidnapped you?" She completely throws me off guard with that question.

"I'm sorry. I shouldn't have asked." She says.

"No, it's okay. Not exactly." I say.

"Oh, well, my name is Alice. I know we said our names in the circle but I'm sure you didn't remember everyone's." She says.

"Nice name." I say.

"Thanks and you too. You have a unique name." She says.

"Shall we begin?" She asks. I nod my head then we start playing the board game she has.

First day, it's not completely bad. I just want to be at home with my own family though. I wonder what they are doing right now.
