When I woke up, everything seemed to be dark, as if I was in a room with no light shining in it.
I leaned upwards from wherever I was laying, and my eyes then seemed to adjust.
I was in a room, obviously, but I didn't know what room I could possibly be in.

I saw a light on the side of the room for a brief moment, which revealed that there was a door there.
I faintly saw a silhouette of a person coming towards me, but I couldn't quite tell who it was.

"Hannah? Are you alright?" I heard a voice ask.

"Who are you?" I asked the silhouette.

"It's Syd."

"Syd? W-where am I?"

"You're in my flat."

"Uh....how? Why?"

"I brought you here."

"Uh, why?"

"Look, I didn't want you to feel like I left you on purpose, so I came back to talk to you. But when I came looking for you, you were passed out."

"So you brought me here while I was asleep?"

"S-sort of. If you don't want to be here then I can-"

"I want to be here."

I couldn't believe I was in 1967.
This is something I'd only ever dreamed of.

"Wait, do you have the watch?" I asked him.

"No, actually, me and Roger came to 2019, but he helped me get you into bed so you could rest. He has the watch now."

"R-roger? Where is he now? Is Vanessa here?"

"What? No. In fact, I don't even know if he knows her. I think he was just helping me."

I finally got out of bed and stood up.

"Well, I was supposed to go back to school today."

"Do you want to go back?" he asked me.

"No. Trust me, I don't."

Then the door opened, and the light switched on, which revealed that it was none other than Roger.

"What are you doing in the dark?" he asked us.

"We were just talking."

"Are you sure that's all you were doing?"

"Oh, sod off." Syd said.

Sod off? British slang is something I'll never understand.

"Well, I best be going, I've got myself a date."
Roger said.

"With who?" I asked, suspicious that it might not be my sister that he was going out with. But if he had, in fact, been seeing my sister all this time, then that meant that she was probably here already. Or maybe he was cheating on her.
