As a Pokémon Expert myself I must always remember to remain holistic when talking to others about their personal opinions... BUT SOMETIMES PEOPLE ARE JUST WRONG!

When discussing my favorite Eevee Evolution, I realized how much my subconscious played a part in the decision making... It wasn't just about which design was better, as I thought it would be, Pokémon Type played a big part as well.
SO! With 18 different Types to love and/ or hate, which is the best of them all????

What's interesting about this topic and the result I gave, to me, is how different it ended up being than you might expect. Normal Types are my favorite because of how resilient and powerful they can be. Depending on the Pokémon, they can literally learn ANY move, no matter the type. As I've stated before, I've always had a fascination with electricity as an element, fire following close behind, so naturally they would come first. But if you think about it, second from Eevee, Lucario is my absolute Favorite Pokémon!! But Fighting-Types are not. Same thing with Flygon- my 3rd Favorite Pokémon, but Ground Types have always sat at the bottom for me. But it's ok, because it's also part Dragon which came in 4th place.
Dragons are dragons and if you don't like dragons, something's wrong with you. Simply put, they're badass..! And before they evolve into their final form, they're always so freaking adorable! Then the next three are Psychic, Ghost and Dark. All the cool and mystical Pokémon Types, right beside each other. I wondered if other people also think along those lines..? Are those 3 types about the same in their favorites?? As for the order: Psychics have a lot of power in them, I mean, come on- they can move things with their minds... Ghosts have basically the same kind of powers, but are more creepy, and the same thing with Dark-Types, but more solid and grounded in their movements.
I made Kari in the story scared of Ghost-Type Pokémon, because in real life I feel like that's exactly how I would react. Lol I love hearing ghost stories and all, but anytime I get that chilly feeling in the back of my neck, you know I'm the first one out of that house! No thanks!! And yet, on the outside, I think Ghost-Type Pokémon are awesome! Mimikyuu is stupid powerful and cute, Gengar is cool, and as a Dark-Type, Umbreon and Greninja are some of my favorite Pokémon, in general!
We now reach the middle of the ranking where most people just throw in a few results they're not very sure about... Grass and Flying Types are good. They can be strong and all, but I've never felt much of a kinship towards them. I've learned recently that there are several Fighting-Type Pokémon I actually like, though not a lot of them. I think they ranked higher than I expected just because of Lucario, AND because (surprisingly) they make up more than half of my TCG deck..! I got my Mega Lucario card and a couple of Riolu and suddenly I was building a deck of Fighting & Dragon-Types... I know, weird... But aside from the few I love, there's not much about Fighting-Types that I enjoy. There might also be the natural inhibition I have towards them since they're super effective towards Normal-Types... Hmmm... And yet Eevee and Lucario are my favorites...
