📍Miami, South Florida
Park Chaeyoung just finished tying up her apron when she hears her co-worker's yell.
"Rosie! Help me take these tarts to table thirteen please!" Jennie places the tray on the counter before turning around to grab a new unflatten dough. Chaeyoung sighs and quickly ties up her long pastel pink hair into a ponytail before doing exactly what her friend has told her.
She notices the customer's furrowed eyebrows and hurries to place three mango tarts in front of his tapping finger while thanking God for controlling her desire to eat them instead. She doesn't forget to apologize for the long wait before lifting up her head.
That's when she meets the pair of doe eyes.
Jeon Jungkook is sitting at table fourteen, making a waitress who just placed a cup of caramel frappachino on his table blushes by complimenting her makeup, before his eyes fall onto Park Chaeyoung. He leans to his right to gets a better glimpse. His fingers are playing with the handle of the cup as he gazes at the waitress who doesn't seem to be a local Floridians. He is wondering if she comes from where he belongs when she notices him.
Chaeyoung immediately turns to her left to avoid his gaze. Jungkook notices his adruptness right as the girl serving him interrupts him.
"Sir, do you want a tart or some donuts? Just coffee is too dry."
"Nah. It's fine. You can go now." He flashes a quick smile and waves her off before his eyes scan around the café frantically to search for the waitress. She is nowhere to be seen. He sighs and takes a sip of his coffee. He pulls out his journal from the inside of his leather jacket and turns to a page with a map of Florida glued on it. Red crosses are scattered with a red dotted line linking them up. He is already halfway through his roadtrip before having to return to South Korea and start managing his family's company. Loving the hot air and the summer rain, he doesn't mind to stay in Miami longer than usual. Thinking of the waitress, he crosses the words '7 days' next to the dot and rewrites it to '14 days'.
Chaeyoung on the other hand is putting the tray back to the cart while her mind is still lingering around table thirteen. She isn't that oblivious to not notice the man whose doe eyes are stuck on her. Surprisingly, she doesn't feel offended like the occassions when creeps keep staring at her body. Instead, his eyes give out a surprisingly warm gaze. A gaze that is so intense that makes her feel unworthy of the attention he is giving her and she has no choice but to escape out of nervousness. Her cheeks are still rosy after being shone by the ball of sunshine.
Jungkook finishes his coffee with a satisfied sigh. He fixes his curly black hair and sashays to the cashier. He bites his lips and tries to lower his airy voice.
"You are Lisa, am I right?"
The cashier's head shoots up and her lips slightly part when their eyes meet. Jungkook can clearly see her gulping and knows he executed his charm perfectly once again.
"Yes... yes! How can I help you, sir?"
He leans towards the cashier's ear and he can almost feel her heat radiating from her cheeks. He mumbles and Lisa's eyes widen.
"Is it possible for you to do me this favor? It's alright if you can't. But I will surely find a chance to thank you if you manage to do so." For the purpose of persuasion, he adds a tiny wink to wrap up his request. He watches the girl's eyes flicker before she gives a definite answer.
"Well, I am supposed to follow the rota but if you really insist, I can make an exception. I own one fourth of the café anyway." She smirks and drops her calculator immediately as she hops towards the kitchen.
Jungkook whistles quietly and taps on the counter to the beat when a person comes to a halt in front of him. He looks up and his heart beats ten times faster than he expected when he sees the girl he is waiting for. He reads the silver-framed nametag pinned on her baby pink apron. "Park Chaeyoung". That definitely confirms his assumption made regarding her nationality.
"Um. Hi. I am um Jungkook. Jeon Jungkook." He shows her a bright smile which she returns with a confused expression.
"Excuse me, sir. Do you wish to pay your bills?" Chaeyoung asks politely despite looking at everywhere except her front.
"Oh. Um. Of course. Thanks." Jungkook doesn't expect such an awkward encounter. His head sinks and his bunny teeth are no longer to be seen.
"Table fourteen, right?"
"Um, yeah!"
"That would be $4.94." Chaeyoung's fingers dance on the computer's screen and Jungkook counts the exact amount of coins needed so she doesn't have to calculate for the change. He slips the black wallet back into his pocket and scratches the back of his neck, which is already pink from the friction.
"Thank you, sir. Hope you will have a nice day and you are always welcomed to return-"
"With some coupons!" The original cashier with gray shoulder-length hair jumps to the door and waves a piece of paper in front of Jungkook.
"Thanks!" Jungkook takes the "coupon" and twinkles at her. He unfolds the paper to double check it before giving Lisa a hug. "I will definitely make use of this. See you soon!" He seemingly directs his greeting to Lisa but he has never shifted his attention away from Chaeyoung, who is utterly panicked and tries to shush Lisa.
Jungkook opens the door with the wood chimes ringing cheerfully behind him. He hops on to his motorcycle and ignites the engine. Before he puts the helmet on and runs down the dusty road, he looks at the shop sign decorated with a rose drew within one stroke but in two different colours. Black and pink form the stem and the pedals respectively and merge together smoothly at the receptacle. To its left is the name of the shop with the same colour pattern.
"Black To The Pink".
What a cute name. "See you later, my rose." He grins at the piece of paper Lisa handed to him and disappears into the distance, leaving clouds of dust behind his roaring iron horse.

"Lisa, I thought Jisoo unnie told us to stop giving out random coupons or else we are going to suffer from bankrupcy!" Chaeyoung chirps like a squirrel as she stuffs her mouth with mango-flavoured macarons to ease her tensed mind. She always believe befriending Lisa equals to volunteering to cut short your lifespan due to daily stress brought by her dumb actions.
"Chill. It's just a free mango tart. It costs way less money than your self-initiated treats at work." Lisa runs for her life to the kitchen, barely escaping from the calculator threw by Chaeyoung, who is too stuffed up to yell at her.
Lisa chuckles at the sight of an angry squirrel after finding a safe hiding spot. You will thank me later, Park Chaeyoung.
"Get your ass to work before I expose you to Jisoo unnie. Holding on to 25% of the share doesn't exclude you from the fate of unemployment." Jennie threatens coldly. Lisa sticks out her tongue and hurries to take out the trash, sparing a hand to cover her nose in disgust.
