God, what the heck got into me. I am never like this. Now I am really hating Hunter. Not because he is mean or anything, he is just making me feel things that I don't even know how to explain it. Why, oh why is Jamie making me do this?

"You ready to go, there is this great diner that we are going to." Hunter looked at me waiting for a reply. "oh, yeah let's go. Bye Jamie, have fun on your double date." Jamie just waved to me in reply.

Hunter and I walked out of the house together, and right there in the front of the driveway was a beauty of a car. It was a silver 2013 Toyota Tundra. I have to ride in that. I Am going to break something. It was so new too. How can people be so rich to buy theses things. Wait, that's me now. God, please don't make me become one of those selfish little spoiled brats.

We got in the car and Hunter pulled out. We rode in silence the only sound was the slight hum of the engine. It wasn't the weird first meeting awkward silence though. It was a comfortable silence, strange right? I looked out the window to see if I recognized where we were going. And, surprisingly I did. We were driving by a park that I always went to when life got to be to much. Yeah even when I was little I had a lot of problems.

Hunter said there was an old diner over here though, there was never a diner over here when I lived over here. But, whatever we will just have to wait and see.

Soon it got awkward in the car because no one was talking, so I reached over to turn the music on, at the same time as Hunter did. We barely touched hands but there was like this shock or something. I guess one of us shocked the other and that's what I felt. I don't know. We immediately pulled our hands back and it got even more awkward.

''Oh, I'm really sorry about that I didn't mean to.'' I said to Hunter. He just smiled at me and turned the radio on. I had no idea what song was on, but it had a pretty good beat. I was so intrigued with the song that I didn't even relies that we were at our destination until, I felt Hunter shaking me.

"Ahhhhh...what the heck was that for, you big but jerk wad." I partly yelled at him. And guess what, he had the audacity to laugh at me. Why is he being so mean? And I asked him just that.

His reply was, "Mean, mean how am I being mean? You're the one who called me... what ever the heck you said."

Okay, maybe I did over react a little bit. But it was his fault for scaring me. Hunter finally found a parking spot and just waited. We waited, and waited, and waited. What were we waiting for I was sick of doing nothing. If I had to wait for one more minute I don't know what I'm going to do. I was tired of doing what everyone else wants me to do. I don't want to be here, and I don't want to, I just want to be with my mom, where I'm happy and carefree and I don't have to worry about life anymore.

"Hey, hey it ok, I don't know what's wrong but, you don't need to cry." Hunter whipped my tears away. I hadn't even relished that I was crying. I have got to stop getting to comfy around people. If I get to close than, he will come back. That is the last thing that I need.

"Sorry I was just thinking about a few things." I started to stop crying.

"Its fine, lets go in the diner, there are a few people I want you to meet." He started to get out of the car. I went to open the car door, but Hunter put up his hand to stop me. He walked around to my side and opened the door for me. I said thanks in a quiet voice, because he was giving me that stupid gin. That I swear guys practice to win girls over.

Hunter held the diner door open for me, again. The inside looked just like one of the old retro diners, it was a pretty cool place to be honest. It smelled just like.... My mom's old famous chicken soup that was the best to have when you're feeling down. It didn't matter if it was a hot day or cold day. It would always make you feel better. My mom said that it was made of 100 percent pure love, love for me. God. I miss her so much. My mom would have would have loved this place.

Keep it in Evelyn, don't start crying again, you can't. We can't ruin this. Stay together and don't you dare mess it up. It is going somewhat decent again.

Hunter leads us to the back of the diner, where there is a group of people who are acting like a bunch of people who have only ever lived on sugar. Weird yeah, I know but, my mind comes up with crazy descriptions.

When we got to the booth, I saw four people in total. There was a girl who was breathtaking. She had shoulder length light blue hair that curled perfectly at the ends. I could see the slight glint of a nose ring. Perfect skin with no blemishes and eyes so grey that they were unique. Sitting next to her is a guy who has a tiny bit of facial hair, green eyes-not as eye catching as Hunter's though. His hair was styled so he had it shaved around the edges but there was quite a lot on top, it was also blond but clearly dyed because of his dark eyebrows. One the other seat is a girl who is also amazingly beautiful. She looks like she grew up in another country. So, did they guy she was sitting next to, it looked like they could be siblings. She had pinkie-red hair that went a little above her shoulders, but the roots were coming in. Her eyes were a chocolate caramel that was beautiful. The guy next to her looked just like her but with short black hair.

I come back to reality when I realized everyone was looking at me with a kind smile on their faces. "So, I guess I better do the introductions". Hunter pointed at the blue haired girl "This is Ava, don't let the blue hair intimidate you to mush. Inside she is a really softy." Ava looked like she was offended and said, "Way to through me under the bus, Hunt, it is true though, anyway nice to meet you."

Hunter finished the introduction and I found out the blond is Grey, the other girl is Coral, and the other guy is Tye. I learned that Ava and Grey are dating, and his actual name is Greyson but, he hates being called that. Also, Coral and Tye are sibling and were born in China but moved to Florida when they were seven and nine. They were all out of high school. Ava is 18, Grey is 20, Coral is 17, Tye is 19, and Hunter is also 20. Both turned 20 less then two months ago. It made me quite wired to be the youngest at 16 but they made it but to me by acting like we were all equals.

I was really starting to think that I could make this a good friend group and not have to rely on Jamie all the time, when they decided to drop a bomb on me.

"So... the real reason that we invited you to hang out with us is because Jamie is worried about you and is scared for you." Hunter exclaimed as if he could see right through me like I was a piece of glass.

I knew this was to good to be true "We have all been through shit and we all agree that we want you to hang out with us and you can trust us.'' Ava gave we the sweetest smile while every nodded their heads. Well everyone but Hunter who was still looking at me with the look you have when you are trying to solve a puzzle.

I pulled my sleeves down longer trying to do it under the table so Hunter would figure me out. "Well I am perfect just having some time getting used to the new living situation. It would also be my pleasure if we can become friends if only you guys don't mind that I'm still in school" I said trying to sound as chill as I could.

"Only under one condition." Tye sounded like the creepy murder in a game and I had to give up something precise. "We have to exchange numbers so we can contact you to hang out. "Coral chuckled. I exchanged numbers with everyone. Happy that I made five new friends that hopefully I can trust.

We stayed and hung out for a couple more hours but, I was hoping they didn't notice me not really paying attention. What Hunter said about Jamie was still in my head trying to make a plan to get her off my back.

"just tell her the truth" I hear my inner voice say. If only it was that easy. If I tell her about myself harm, I will have to tell her about my other scares so she doesn't question me, which will just lead to more danger and death.

I hadn't realized Hunter was talking to me until he snapped in my face. "Everyone else left, I didn't want to disturb your thinking, but Jamie is scream texting me to get up home before it fully gets dark." Hunter said looking out the window. I didn't say anything just got up and walked to his car. Still wondering how I am going to be able to get everyone off my back.

I'm just praying that this is going to be the only problem I'm going to have to deal with. Nothing to do with the past and not having any new surprises.

Oh, boy how I jibed myself. Little did I realize that my life was going to get a lot more complicated then I thought.
