ALLIE

That was the last time I saw him. That night, my parents brought me to Baguio to visit my grandparents and then Mom showed me pictures of Dan and the daughter  of Senator Luis. They told me that they are already engaged and it would be bad for my image as the reigning Miss Teen Universe to be the reason for their break up. Besides they said I was still very young. They have forbidden me to contact him.  He texted me three times but I never returned his texts again. I did not want to break his relationship with that girl.

OO nga naman, he's guapo, he's rich and he's young. I can not compete with that. Tama sina Mom, I need to stay away from him. I felt sad when I heard that. I wanted to call him and ask him if it was true kaso ang dami dami ko naman nang ginawa. My job as Miss Teen, my grades in school and then Mommy and Dad wanted me to transfer to the US to study. I was too sad hindi ko alam kung bakit, galit din ako kay Dan for not telling me the truth. Masakit yun. Alam ko naman na wala kaming relationship pero...he could have at least told me the truth di ba?

Kamusta na kaya siya? It has been five years since I last saw him. I sometimes see news about him pero hindi ko pinapansin. Ayoko masaktan.  I dated some guys in the US, mga college guys but there is no one like Dan. I am done with college and I am not 21 years old. Ano na kaya hitsura niya ngayon? Yeah sure Google, pero ayoko siya i Google. Baka he's married now. I heard from my friends sobrang rich na yata siya. They told me that his personal life has been put out from the public. Well kahit naman nun ganun pa din. My friends wonder ano nangyari sa amin at bakit hiwalay din kami agad. I can not tell them naman na hindi nsmsn kami naging kami. Pero someday siguro I will tell them din.

One time akala ko nakita ko siya when we went to New York pero pag lingon ko ulit wala naman na siya. Maybe imagination lang. Since I am from college, my dad offered me work sa opisina niya. But I declined. I wanted to put up my own restaurant and they agreed din naman. My dad told me may regalo daw siya sa akin when I get back. Siyempre when it comes to us, Daddy is just so predictable. He gave me the building. All I have to do is re-plan it the way I wanted it. Haynaku. Daddy talaga. Oh well I need to contact an architecture company to do the re building of the restaurant. I have to ask Daddy.

DAN

Corporate conference with the executives. Since Dad retired last year kasi daw kaya na namin nina D ang kompanya, nagsemi retire na sila ni Mom so they could travel and spend some time together. I am 27 years old now.

"Steve, I told you to use the carrot and stick approach sa empleyado mo pero mukhang wala namang nangyayari."

"Sir..."

"Hindi mo kaya ang mga empleyado mo o pinababayaan mo lang?"

"Sir..."

"Sulosyunan mo yan. I am giving you a month to do it or else, tanggalin kita sa pwesto mo. Now everyone, how about the performance appraisal ng mga empleyado niyo? I want your HR's report by Monday. Is that clear?"

"Yes sir"

I looked at them. it's already 9 pm and I have been sitting here listening to their bullshits for  9 13 hours now at gusto ko na tanggalin ang mga managers na mga to. Ang tatanga lang ng iba eh. Tamad at puro rason ang ginagawa.

"This conference is adjourned.

I stood up and  let my secretary grabbed my stuff. I went out of the room and the last thing I heard was whispering between their secretaries

"Guapo talaga ni Sir Dan kaso ang sungit."

"Palibhasa walang lovelife."

"Wala ba? Eh yung anak ni Senator?"

"Wala yubn, lesbiana yun, jowa niya yung artista."

"Ganun ba?"
