CHAPTER 13: "Me and You"

"Did I hear it right?" Jin said.
"Jin?" Jisoo said.
"I've been waiting for this day to come. Proud of you." Jin said and hugged Jisoo.
"Thank you for patiently waiting." Jisoo said

"So Jisoo, may we know now what really happened to you in that accident?" Jhope asked.
"Not now Jhope. It took 8 years for Jisoo to tell to someone else that she had an accident. That's all for now. In time, she'll tell you everything, right?" Jin said and looked at Jisoo.
"I'm sorry if I cannot go into details right now, I ---" Jisoo said
"We will wait for you" Tae interrupted, "For now, we still have a performance to rehearse for next week. Let's focus on that first. It's already 6:30pm, now move!"

TAE's POV
It's the opening day of the Students Week. Tonight, few students will perform on stage including TWICE and guess what? I and Jisoo will be the hosts.
I and Mr. Lee arrived at Jisoo's house to pick her up and I saw Jin coming out.

"How was Japan?" I asked.
"Are you really serious about my sister?" he answered.
"Uuh-m, I know you did not expect this to happen, but ---" I said.
"Since when?" he interrupted.
"Since I met her."
"You met her while protecting Nayeon against Jennie. The girl you're dying to be with for how many years now."
"Jin, I know how concern you are, but I promise, I won't hurt your sister and I will wait for her."
"Wait for her?"
"Yes. When she's ready to tell me everything about her, everything that happened to her and when she's ready to be with me."
"Everything? You mean you did not know what exactly happened to her?"
"Well, at first, I just have a feeling that she's hiding a bad experience behind her pretty face. Then, I tried to figure it out after she fainted in that first photoshoot. I never asked her or you about it cause it is just a suspicion. Then, I overheard you and Jungkook talking about her having an accident 8 years ago. So, I kept on observing her and noticed that she's really uncomfortable everytime she's in front of the cameras. Lastly, I confirmed it from your mom that she has a trauma because of that accident, so, I asked Jungkook if he knew about everything that happened to Jisoo but he answered that you did not go into detaits also."
"*sighs. Well, Japan was good. Dad will be coming home next next week. Hope to see you in our family dinner and I also hope you will introduce yourself well and will not not disappoint Dad. I am counting on you!" he said and tapped my shoulder before he entered his van.

So, it means Jin is okay with me pursuing Jisoo? Right?
I hope so.

JISOO's POV

I saw Jin and Tae talking outside. After what happened in that first photoshoot, I can tell that Jin is avoiding Tae. Jin rarely attends their meetings and rehearsals. So, I am just happy seeing them together right now.

When Jin left, I went outside and approached Tae.

"Are you sure about all of this?" I asked.
"Yes, I am. Why?" he said.
"I am just asking cause everyone was saying before that you're into Nayeon. So I am ---"
"You're right."
"Huh?"
"Everyone WAS saying that I am into her -- but now everyone IS saying that I am into you right now, including this (pointing at his head), this (pointing at his eyes) and this (pointing at his heart)."
"*smiled. You're crazy!"
"But, you smiled." he said.

We are on our way to HIU. I am sitting beside him and it feels like I am with a person whom I know since I was born. In short, I am very comfortable when I am with him.

I am staring at him for a while, I want to ask if he knew about what exactly happened to me 8 years ago and if yes, how? But, I noticed we already entered the school's entrance, so I did not bother to ask.

We are preparing backstage and I saw a lot of students enjoying and hyping each other while waiting. I can feel that every beat of the background music is getting into my body and the spotlights are dancing in front of my eyes.
