Prologue

"No!" he hissed. "I refuse to accept this!" he said. To mostly anyone it seemed he was just angry, but to my eyes, I could see that he was not only angry, but completely shattered and destroyed.  His whole world had literally just been ripped apart into so many pieces that it was hard to discern where it began and ended. I felt so sorry for him. But before comforting him, I had to face my own inner demons first.
My name is Scarlette Everlynn-Anne, and this is the story about a boy who had his own past to face as I had my own. Yet fate seemed somehow determined to intertwine not just our fates, but our past, present, and future, until it was so blended together that you couldn't tell who was whose, not even if you were Sherlock Holmes in the flesh.
