Once there was a young man named Reagon from Saints Town, New Jersey. He lived with his mother and father in an open pasture in the middle of a forest. His mother didn't like to be around people. When he asked his father why, all he said was, "When your mother wants something, I don't ask why."

Reagon was as angry with his father as much as he was with his mother. He knew they were holding back something.

"Hey mom," Reagon had just walked into the room where his mother lay, resting from her trip into town, "I am 15 now and I was thinking......"

"Oh Reagon, that's your problem, you're always thinking. When are you going to learn that thinking is over rated?"

"Mom, I know that you are hiding something from me. I need you to tell me. Now!" Reagon was now stomping around the room like a mad man.

"Reagon please, calm down. You don't want to scare away all of the game for your father. Do you want to eat tonight?"

"Of course I do, but I have to know what you and Dad are hiding from me." Reagon's mother sat up calmly, "Ok. I'll tell you."

"Really?" Reagon card down and sat at the edge of the lawn chair with his mother. "Reagon, for the first 17 years of my life I was forced to live in the shadows, much like you. On my 17th birthday my mother told me that I was a time jumper or time traveler. I was told that once I turned 18 I would be jumping throughout time. Well, in recent years, I have been jumping forward in time more than I have been jumping back."

She paused to readjust herself so she was facing Reagon. She took his hand and gently placed it in hers. "Now Honey, I need you to understand that this is a very serious situation, okay?"

"Of course. I understand. I promise to take everything you are about to say seriously." Reagon was wiggling with anticipation. Once he was able to calm down, his mom continued.

"There has been several times that I have gone back to the same day. There are people everywhere, it's windy, and it smells like pizza. I'm running towards you. I'm pushing through a crowd and as you come into view, you disappear, then I return to the present. I know that this is going to happen soon. I have a feeling that you are going to get your power way sooner than you are supposed to. Now your father is going to be home soon and he can't know about any of this, okay?"

"Okay." Reagon got up and moved towards the kitchen. "Do you want me to lay out the plastic for you so you can skin and gut dinner so you can cook it?"

"Yes please." His mother stood up and walked over to the window. When she looked out expecting to find her husband dragging a dead animal behind him. Instead, she found a black SUV racing towards the house. "Reagon RUN!!"

"What? Why?" Reagon started heading over to the window When his mom turned around and shoved him in the other direction. "I SAID RUN! Go Now! You have to hurry. Go as deep in the woods as you can. Don't look back and don't let anyone find you. After you are certain that everyone Is gone, RUN towards the outskirts of the town. There is a store 3 miles down the road that leads out of town. Take $300 and buy everything that you would need for 3 weeks. Don't stop for long periods of time in one spot. Go Now! Before they find you!"

"No! I WON'T leave you! Please don't make me go!" Reagon was nearly in tears. He hadn't gone a single day in his life without his mother or father, and he surely didn't want to start now.

"Reagon, Honey, please, just go now. Please. You getting caught by these men would kill me. I would have no reason to live. Please, go." Reagon finally rounded up the courage he needed. He bolted towards the money jar. He threw his arm around it like a football player intercepting a throw and ran for the back door.

Once he was outside he bolted across the large pasture and headed into the woods. He ran until his heart felt like it was going to jump 60 feet out of his chest.

"No! No! I have to get back to her. I have to save her from those monsters! But I can't disobey her orders. What should I do? I have to listen to her. I'll wait here until midnight, then I will move towards town."

Reagon had thought long and hard about what his mother had told him. He may not know everything that he needs to know about his power, and that was why he needed to find her. After he was done with all of the tasks his mom wanted him to do, he would find his mom and help her escape.

"Where's the boy?" A man had burst through the door. He wasa tall black man dressed in a black suit and tie. He was followed by a short white man dressed the same. The shorter guy was holding a bag and some rope.

As the short man approached, he glared at her, "Just tell us where he is Regina. We know that you're hiding him here."

"Oh Regenald. You really think that I'm stupid enough to hide my only child in the same house that you tread?"

"Stop playing games Regina! Jerimaugh, search e house. I'll keep our old friend company." The taller black man moved further into the house and started to search for Reagon.

"What have you done with Steven? Where is he? Tell me where my husband is!"

"Regina, ere is no reason to worry. Your husband is hidden in an under ground facility where you and your son, assuming we find him, will be joining Steven." Regenald had a smug grin on his face. He never thought that Regina would let the boy go out into an unknown world without the guidance of his mother or father.

"Sir." Jerimaugh came around the corner, exhausted from rummaging through everything.

"What is it Jerimaugh? Did you find him?" Regenald waited with anticipation for Jerimaugh yo reveal his findings. Sweat beads ran down his face. He began to feel a knot forming in his stomach. He felt as if it was going to twist until it ripped the skin apart.

"I'm afraid not sir. He must have escaped somehow."

"I shall not be fooled by a low life family who has no respect for others!" Regenald was furious. He wanted that boy. "Search the house again! Leave nothing unturned! I WILL HAVE THAT BOY! GO NOW!"

Jerimaugh was frightened by the way Regenald was talking. He quickly regained his thoughts, said "Yes Sir," and took off to search again.

"Now, I find that very offensive." Regenald had completely forgotten that Regina was there. Regina was infuriated with Regenald said about her and her family. "I will not let you offend my family like that. You are an evil man. If you wish to disgrace me and my family, please do it when none of us are around." Regina glared at Regenald. She had the eyes of a demon searching for revenge. Just as she was about to criticize him some more, Jerimaugh came into the room.

"He's not here sir. I'm sorry." Regenald bowed his head in defeat. "Fine. Grab her. Be sure that this bag gets on her head." Regenald tossed the bag and rope he was holding when he first walked in to Jerimaugh. During all of the yelling and searching, Regina had remained calm.

Jerimaugh walked over and swung the bag over Regina's head, tied up her hands, then grabbed her by the arm. "Come on. We can't leave him waiting. He has a bad temper on him so had he never stops once he gets started." He guided her with detailed instructions until they got to the SUV.

Regenald spoke the second Regina stepped into the vehicle, "I hope you like scraps of dinner."
