Inoo's birthday drama (One Shot)

Another 1 minute to midnight. Inoo is anxiously looking at his cell phone, hoping for a call from a certain someone. He has been dressing up nicely- just in case that person will show up like he did last year.

That is Takaki Yuya, Inoo's boyfriend- known for his romantic surprises and sometimes cute acts.

On Inoo's birthday last year, Takaki called him from his radio show, singing him birthday song. After the show he came to his apartment with chocolates and presents. They spent the rest of the night cuddling and kissing.

Only that, Inoo wasn't ready at that time. He was in his pyjama and just woke up from his sleep when Takaki came by. Not an appearance Inoo is proud of. This time Inoo wants to look dashing in front of his boyfriend. He wants to surprise him instead- by preparing a nice midnight snack with expensive wine. Inoo can't wait to see Takaki's reaction to his treat. 

The clock strikes midnight. Text messages begin to enter his cell phone. Inoo knows most of them are from his managers and friends- and possibly some JUMP members. He is waiting for the specific ringtone to ring- the one he assigned for Takaki.

1 hour has passed-still no sign from the boy. Inoo turns on the radio, tuning in to BayJUMP- hoping to hear Takaki mentioning his name. But no, that didn't happen at all. Takaki and Daiki are busy talking about the upcoming album and tour.

Inoo's cell phone has stop beeping. No more incoming messages at this wee hour. Inoo looks at the cold servings on the table. There are no signs that Takaki will come tonight. Inoo is disappointed. He loosens his shirt's button as he reaches for his cell phone. He wanted to call Takaki, but he stops. Inoo doesn't want to look needy.

But I miss him. It's my birthday, he should be celebrating with me!

No... he will think I am desperate for attention. No Kei, don't call. He might have something else planned for me tomorrow. Yes, that must be the case. There is no way Takaki will forget my birthday.

Suddenly the cell phone rings. Inoo immediately answers without looking at the screen.

"Yuyan!!!! What take you so long?!! I miss you!!"

"Erm... Inoo-chan.. it's me Dai-chan," Daiki's voice is heard from the other side of the phone.

"Ah..." Inoo becomes gloomy again. "Gomen ne Dai-chan."

"I'm sorry I'm not the one you are expecting."

"No no, it's not like that."

"Anyhow... Happy Birthday Inoo-chan!!" Daiki excitedly yells. "You are old now!!"

Inoo laughs. "Baka!! I'm only 1 year older than you!"

"Yamada and I bought something for you. we'll give it to you at the venue tomorrow okay?"

Ah yes... it's waku waku gakkou tomorrow. Inoo almost forget about it.

"No problem Dai-chan," Inoo thanks his friend. "Ano... is Yuya with you?"

"I'm with my manager. Yuya left earlier, he said something about his phone. I think it broke down."

"Souka..."

"Is everything all right?"

"Yes, yes... I'm just worried he didn't reply my messages," Inoo lies.

"He's fine and kicking. Don't worry. I'm sure he will contact you as soon as his cell phone is fixed. Okay Inoo-chan, I had to go now. See you tomorrow!"

Daiki ends the call. Inoo throws a long sigh.

Looks like he is going to be alone tonight.

The group arrived at Kyocera Dome 2 hours ago. It is time for their mic-test and rehearsal with Arashi. They are divided into 2 dressing rooms.

Inoo feels so lonely. Despite receiving congratulatory wishes from the staff and their seniors, Inoo still feel incomplete. Takaki seems really forgets that today is his birthday. Takaki fools around telling jokes to the members, but not once mentioning anything about this special day. Inoo is sulking. But his dumb boyfriend doesn't even care when he puts up his pouty face.

"Kei!!!" Takaki walks into the dressing room. "Why are you here alone? Come next door, everyone is taking photo with Aiba-kun and ."

Inoo doesn't reply. His eyes continue to scroll down the website on his cell phone.

"Are you all right Kei?" Takaki moves closer to his boyfriend. He hugs Inoo from behind. "Why my baby is so moody today?"

Inoo grumps. "Betsuni."

Takaki kisses Inoo's left cheek. He later turns the swivel chair around so that Inoo is facing him. Takaki gently pushes Inoo's chin up and bend down to catch the boy's lips.

However Inoo quickly turns his face around- avoiding the kiss.

Takaki bites his lower lips, disappointed with what just happened.

"I'll wait for you next door. Come and join us okay?" Takaki lifts Inoo's right hand and kisses it softly.

"I love you Kei," Takaki exits the room.

Inoo watches as his boyfriend leaves. He misses his boyfriend. He wants to kiss Takaki so badly. But right now he is so pissed at him.

It's my birthday bakaki! How can you forget my birthday?

Other than the awkward tension between Inoo and Takaki on stage, WWG ends successfully. They had dinner together after Rajira with their senpai Arashi- using this opportunity to celebrate Inoo's 29th birthday. Inoo sits in between Yabu and Hikaru, neglecting all Takaki's attempt to talk to him. He immerses himself with their senpai teases and treats.

Takaki and Yamada left the dinner first, followed by Chinen and Yuto. The older members stay a little bit longer, listening to Aiba's story about the group concert schedule. Although his body is in the room, Inoo's mind is actually thinking about his boyfriend. He really hopes that Takaki will somehow enter the room again with surprises for Inoo.

Again, Inoo gets disappointed.

"Are you not feeling well Inoo-chan?" Daiki asks as they enter their hotel room.

"Eih? Why are you asking that?"

"You've been gloomy this whole day, that's why," Daiki turns on the AC.

Inoo didn't answer. Yes, Inoo is disappointed. His supposed-to-be romantic boyfriend is not romantic at all today.
