Greely's parents came into his room while he was sleeping.
"Time to wake up! It's the Morning Star event today!" His mom said with  perked up ears. Greely woke up and rubbed his eyes.
"Come on my boy, you love this day! Why are you so slow out of bed?" His dad said with a tilt of his head.
"Sorry daddy, I was so excited last night that I could barely get to sleep." Greely said with a exhausted voice.
"Would pancakes help that tiredness?" His mom said with a raise of an eyebrow.
Greely's ears perked up and looked at his mother. "YES!" He said with a dash to the kitchen.
"Well his attitude changed quickly." Greely's dad said with a chuckle.

Robert and Violet made their way to the kitchen to see their son grabbing pancakes on a plate. Greely then noticed his parents and froze.
"Was I suppose to wait for you?"
His parents laughed.
"We will let it slide this time" his mom said.
Violet and Robert came to join Greely in taking some pancakes and putting it on their plates. They then all sat around the table and eat as fast as they could so they wouldn't be late for the event.

After eatting breakfast and getting ready, Greely's family finally made their way to the Morning Star event. It was an event to celebrate each other and for now, safe from the phantoms; they are creatures that were all black with a single eye and tentacles on the body. Greely and his parents came upon a clearing where the celebration was being held. Greely hopped with joy and with a huge smile on his face he said,
"Can I play some games mommy and daddy? Please!"
They gave a nod and Greely ran to some of the booths that had games to play. Greely's parents watched their son with glee and walked off to socialize with some of the others wolves.

Later in the day, an announcer spoke into a microphone.
"Hello ladies and gentlewolves! If you are interested in dancing to some jams, come on down next to the announcer booth. Another detail, the first few songs will be for the children and I will announce when it is adults only. Music will be starting soon, so hurry and have a great day!"
Greely then ran to find his parents. After a couple minutes, he finally found his mom.
"Mommy! Can I not dance this year?"
He said beggingly.
"He came to find me to say that? Greely, you have to dance! Who knows, you might get a new friend."
"Mom please no!"
"Come on now!" She said while pushing Greely to the area.
"Now go on and find a partner to dance with." She said with a chuckle.
Greely walked away from his mom with his ears down. As he watched his mother wave to him, Greely bumped into someone.
"Ouch!"
"Oh sorry! I didn't see where I was going." Greely said as he stood back on his paws.
She chuckled, "It's fine, I run into other animals all the time."
Greely put his paw over his eyes to block the sun and he saw he hit a girl.
"Ah! I am so so sorry" he said while holding out his paw.
She started laughing and grabbed his paw. "Don't worry about it!"
Then the music started playing. Greely looked at her with an awkward face.
"Ahem, I guess we should be partners then?" He said with a funny smile.
"We seem to have no choice." She said with a nervous tone.
They then started dancing to the music. Greely was actually laughing this time when dancing and same with the girl. After a couple of songs more they stopped dancing for it was time for the adults to go on the dance floor.
"I had such a great time." She said while catching her breath.
"Yeah!"
"Hey.. What is your name?"
Greely felt embarrassed for not telling his name and said, "Greely."
"Mine is Kesha. Nice to meet you!" Kesha said with a twinkle in her eye.
Greely smiled and asked, "Do you live in Cast Lands?"
"I do live there!"
Greely jumped on her with excitement. "I cant believe we live in the same place! We can see each other everyday!!"
Kesha pushed him off and got up with a wagging tail. "This is a dream come true for me, I never really had friends because of my parents." She said looking at the ground.
"Don't worry you can be at my den and have all sorts of fun! Greely said which gave Kesha a big smile. After, playing some more and talking together the day soon ended but little did they know their friendship would  formed a great adventure ahead.

(Next chapter will come soon and I will mention there may be time skips but don't worry at the beginning of any chapter I will say a time skip happened)
