The sun was hitting his face. It warmed up his cheeks, but it also woke him up. And he didn't want to wake up. He wanted to sleep for a longer time. He wasn't happy about that, considering it was summer time and he didn't have school. Opening his eyes, he glared at his window wishing that it would somehow stop the sun from being so annoying. There were hues of yellow and blue decorating the sky as the early morning came. He couldn't help himself but enjoy how the two colors looked together.
Deciding he needed to know the time, Yoongi looked at the clock placed on his night table.
8:03 am.
It was too damn early. But he wasn't going to be able to catch his sleep anymore. Sitting up on his bed, he stretched, and yawed before getting up. His naked feet touched the cold floor. Walking out of his room and to the bathroom, he locked himself in before eyeing himself in the mirror.
He looked skinny. Skinnier than last time, and it was a little concerning, but he knew it was the lack of food intake he had been doing lately. Another sigh, and he grabbed his toothbrush, getting ready for the day. After relieving his bladder and washing his face, he walked back out of the room. Taking a peek outside, he heard the voices of his parents, hushed but still audible.
"We can't keep doing this. We fight every day, we disagree with everything," his mother spoke.
"Yet you can't just leave me like that! Think about our son, wouldn't that hurt him too?"
"Would it hurt him more if we say the true though? Come on hun! You cheated on me, sooner or later he will find out too. It's better if we just divorce already. It should have been a long time ago too."
Not wanting to listen any further, he walked to his room and locked the door before going back towards his bed. Sitting down he hanged his head low.
Sooner or later, he knew it was happening. Yet he wasn't ready for it. Never has been.
Yoongi walked towards his window, seeing the boy from the other day standing there. Something about him made Yoongi feel sad. Or more like the need to go over there and hug him. The boy looked so worn and tired. He couldn't really see into his room, since the reflection of the sun hit the window, but he could see the boy. His brown hair, honey eyes staring in wonder at the outside world, his dried and chapped lips, his rosy cheeks, and the nasal cannulas.
That weren't there last time.
He was sick.
Looking around, Yoongi grabbed his trusty sketchbook and a pencil. Pulling his chair over to the window, he sat down and started sketching the boy. Even though their houses were close together, he couldn't see the full details of the boy's face. But he tried his best to make a quick sketch of the beautiful boy next to his home.
Because yes, he was beautiful.
In his eyes, even if he looked sick and worn out, he was beautiful.
When he looked back up, the boy was looking straight at him. His eyebrows were furrowed and he was looking at him with confusion.
Yoongi had an idea. Flipping the page, he started to write on his sketchbook, and then he turned it over, raising it slightly higher so the boy could read it.
The brunette stared at it for a while, and then smiled softly. Looking behind him, he disappeared somewhere inside the room.
"He left again," Yoongi sighed and flipped his sketchbook over to read what he had written.
'Hey there, my name is Yoongi. Want to talk?'
Looking back up, he saw the boy holding a notebook of his own as well.
