Shipwreck

It was a very gloomy day the waves were high enough to reach the sky it seemed like,the boat was tossing and turning as if something was shaking it,the clouds were dark and gray,lightning and thunder sounded throughout the heavens,but Lydia was not afraid for she had faith in God that he would protect them .God is always there even in the darkest of times Lydia and her family are Protestants most Royal families are Catholic but her and her family weren't they believed in a one true God.That was one of the problems with marrying King Charles of France was he is Catholic but she had to do it for her country and who knows maybe she could change the kings mind about his religion "Lydia I think you should go down below it's safer and there's no telling how long this storm will last."Edward said as he was grabbing her arms leading her to below deck "I'm not afraid of the storm Edward!"Lydia said he just rolled his eyes in frustration "I promised your father and mother I would get you to your fiancé in one piece and I intend on keeping that promise so get down there now!"Edward said Lydia just huffed and stormed down below deck in anger she didn't know why Edward came even if they did grow up together he still didn't have to come she had plenty of guards to take care of her but she couldn't convince him that she'd be safe he was always protecting her from dangers of the world and she was grateful but sometimes he could get a bit overprotective "Ow!"Lydia yelled as she fell on the floor from the hit the boat had received from a giant wave "Lydia we need to go now!"Edward yelled helping her up and dragging her above deck "Edward what are you talking about?"Lydia asked he still held a firm grip on her arm "The ship is sinking we only have one boat and we need to take it to get to land,it isn't too far from here "Edward said in one breath "Whe-"Lydia didn't get to finish her sentence because a massive wave case crashing down sending her into the ocean along with Edward and some other crew memebers Lydia tried to come up for breath but wave after wave pushed her down to the ocean floor she was closing her eyes thinking about her family,her country,and how they'll never know how she died then blackness took over
