"Vlad, can we just hurry up and get this over with?"
I glance up from my phone and stare at the man across the room. He looks irritated, no doubt getting tired of waiting. He is a thick man with tan skin and black hair. His face is chubby and he's wearing his usual white and gray sweater. This was Harold.
"I'm so serious Vlad, if you don't hurry up I'm leaving and heading to the nearest McDonald's!" He shouts. I can hear the man named Vlad ( my love) running down the steps, most likely in a hurry. We were supposed to leave for this mission hours ago but Vlad was just all over the place.
From what I know, we're supposed to be getting some pretty illegal stuff from some old guys and delivering it to some younger guys. However, I know that's not what we're really going to do. We're just gonna do some scams and get the money and use said money for other purposes that are a lot more...positive.
We do this all the time. It's so mainstream. I just do it because I get to be with Vlad.
Vlad rushes around, trying to gather his thoughts. I've been been with him for a while now, but I've never really seen him like this. "Vlad, how much coffee did you drink last night?" I ask. I know Vlad has a habit for drinking coffee at three a.m to keep himself going. It's the norm for him.
"A few." He says, unloading and reloading the gun hidden in the waist of his pants. I roll my eyes. "I swear Jade, I only had three." He assures me. I know he's lying though. He always has more than three.
"I don't care. Can we just go already?" I sigh, standing up. This has dragged on much too long. If Vlad didn't get his act together, I was thinking of having a group meeting where we elect the new leader. "The sooner this is over, the sooner I can get to bed."
"What no sex?" Harold chuckles from his place by the door. I shoot him a dirty look and he shuts right up. But I can tell Vlad is expecting victory sex just from the way he's smirking at me. Eh, why not?
The three of us soon leave the mansion and get in a small car . Normally we drive around in a nice, big car but we can't afford to show up looking obvious. Secrets are the main thing about this job. Say one wrong thing and it will be held against you.
Harold drives away from the mansion and through town before getting on the highway. Most of the places we get drugs and money from are secluded. They're in like...old factories or rundown buildings. The type of places no one would think twice about.
Vlad sighs from the front seat. "It's late. Let's get out of here in thirty minutes or less."
"It wouldn't be so late if you hadn't been procrastinating." I say without looking up from the mobile book on my phone.
"Hey, watching basketball highlights and jerking off is not procrastinating. It's being productive." Vlad counters.
"No it's not. It's being unfocused and unleaderly like."
"What are you trying to say?" Vlad asks accusingly, turning in his seat to look at me.
"Oh nothing." I muse, waving him off. I know exactly what I'm saying. I'm saying that Vlad isn't cut out to be leader. At least not anymore. Or for a while. He's been so...distracted lately. I'm not sure if it's Jessica constantly flirting with him despite the fact that she has a boyfriend or he's just losing himself.
"It's something." Vlad presses. He's not getting an answer out of me.
"It's nothing."
The rest of the ride is silent as we drive through the night. Soon, an old half torn down building comes into view and I shudder. This odd feeling always comes when we go on missions. Not only am I considered a silent death warrent of our little squad, I've also taken up the title of a seductress. Mostly because I sometimes seduce men so they let their guard down so they're a much easier target.
