Chapter 6:

Chapter 6: School

Luna's POV

     I wake up to the smell of food. I yawn and open my eyes to see all of my friends standing there. Brianna was holding a tray of bacon, toast, and grits.
   
  I mumble "Is that for me?"
    
Brianna hands me the tray of food and I go to sit up but Jake had a strong grip on my waist. I pinch his nose and he instantly lets go of me to breathe. Me and my friends laugh and he just gives me a grumpy look. I sit up and smile at him as I take a bite of my toast. Jake grabs a piece of my bacon and eats it.
    
I say "Don't we have school today?"
    
Jake says "Yeah, but we've all been staying out of school for you."
    
I say "Why would you all miss school for me?"
    
Jake says "Because we all love you and care about you."
    
Shae says "And it's not gonna hurt us missing three days of school."
    
I say "Yes it will. We're all going to school today."
    
I stand up and take my phone off charge. I look to see that it is almost twelve o'clock.
    
I say "Nevermind. But we're all going tomorrow."
    
I hear Carla mumble "Thank jesus."
    
I open all of the Insta messages I had and it was a bunch of people from school asking if I was okay. I take a picture, holding my cast in front of my face, so everyone knows I am okay. I post it with the caption saying "Alive and well🙏💯."
    
I sit my phone back on my dresser. I look around my room to see how big of a mess it was.
    
I sigh and say "I'm going to go talk to my mom. This room better be cleaned when I get back."
    
I hear Jake mumble "Okay mom."
    
I glare at him and say "Don't make me put you on cuddle suspension."
    
He instantly apologizes and I smile at him. I walk downstairs and see that my mom and dad aren't home. I walk over to the fridge to get a Sprite and I notice the note on the fridge. It read:

Dear Luna,
           Your father and I got called for a business trip. You know how it is with your father being a big time businessman. I left some money on the counter. We'll be back in a week or so, please be safe. We love you.

                               Mom

     I roll my eyes and grab a sprite out of the fridge. I turn and see the money on the counter. I grab it and count it. There was $200 there. I grin and walk upstairs with the money in my hand and my sprite in the other. I open my bedroom door to see a spotless room. I notice that Jake wasn't in the room. Just then, Jake walks out of the bathroom and smiles at me.
    
I put the money in my nightstand and sit on the edge of my bed.
    
Dannie says "Are your parents home?"
    
I shake my head no and all four of them get up and run downstairs.
    
I laugh at them and Jake gives me a confused look.
    
"They fount my mom's candy stash a long time ago and now they get in it whenever mom and dad aren't home."
    
He laughs and sits down next to me. I turn to him and look at his eyes. He looks at me and smiles. I lay back on my bed and sigh. Jake leans over me and his face was hovering over mine. I could feel his warm breath against my lips. I smile and look him in the eye.
    
His eyes light up and he says "God. You are the most beautiful person on this Earth."
    
I lift my head up to kiss him but he jerks away and gives me a grin.
    
I smack him and scowl "Asshole."
    
I sit up and he kisses me on the cheek. I cross my arms and stare at my closet door. He starts leaving little kisses all over the side of my face. I try my best not to smile or laugh. He starts leaving a trail of kisses down my neck and I giggle. I could feel him smiling at me and as soon as I turn to look at him, he leans in and kisses me. It was slow but intense and I didn't want it to end. I bite his lip and he groans and smiles against my lips. I pull away and look at him with a grin on my face.
    
He says "I know that face. Don't you even dare."
    
He stands up and is slowly backing away. I stand up and he starts running so I chase after him. He was yelling out for help and I just run after him. He runs into the kitchen and I stand there on the opposite side of the island grinning at him.
    
Jake says "Somebody help me!"
    
I was laughing so hard at him. He turned his head to see Brianna and Dannie walking into the kitchen with a bag full of miniature candy bars. He was distracted so I run around the island and tackle him to the ground. He yelps and I sit on top of him laughing at him.
    
He says "Babe. Don't you fucking dare."
    
I lean down and lick his face and his eyelids. He yelps out in disgust and I just laugh at him. All the girls were standing there laughing their butts off.
