The children laughs were hoisted in the playground. And answering their morning call, the shutter of the windows opened wide to let in the autumn air. At this time, the inhabitants of the Wersten village were already woken. Preparing themselves to another long day. The children were the first. As usual, they started their day playing the ball throw. A pure painted picture of the innocence of young children. No...wait. What is this spot of red in the back ground of the painting? Blood? Actually, it's a little girl. She's holding a red coat and watches the children without moving. The lines of her face were motionless too. Maybe she's shy. The children stopped playing as soon as they saw her. Are they scared of something?
"Don't look at her!"said a boy."Do as if nothing was wrong".
And they replayed again.
The girl continued look at them. She had short hair, as black as a raven, and a white skin like snow. Her eyes were like turquoise beads inlaid in her face. She had a thin noise, and a plucked red lip. While her lack of mobility made her look like a porcelain doll.
Some people passed by. They first, addressed a friendly smile to the children, but as soon as their eyes met those of the girl, something changed. Their face darken, leaving only one thing...disgust. And they hastened their steps as if they were fleeing. But what?
" It's her!"
" What a horrible girl!"
" Our children should go away. No?"
Of course, these words did not escape the hearing of the girl. So, did she ignore them? She was used to it rather. After all, it's not like she did not experience worse. She was already broken...
Despite that, she could not help but smile. It hurts. However, she won't complain, she won't cry. It hurts. But this pain had something pleasant, even amusing. It hurts. But still today, she will not show anything.
And as usual, she continued to watch those who might have been her friends, playing. She had never dared to approach them. She refrained from staying away, as if she was afraid of frightening them. And yet, she was already sowing terror in their minds. She was that nightmare that kept haunting their days, refusing to dissipate. They had given her this label of curse, it was now impossible for her to remove it. And besides, they had already found her a nickname...The red girl. For her clothes? In part, yes. But also to be that drop of blood that stained their village. It remains to be seen what she did to arouse so much fear and contempt.
Suddenly, the ball fell at his feet. A boy approached to take it back. But he stopped short when he saw the girl grab it.
"Damn it! She took it." Said another boy.
But he did not pay attention to him. And under the surprised looks of his friends, the boy held out his hand.
" Thomas! What the hell are you doing?"
But Thomas ignored him again. He was determined.
Thomas wasn't like the others. The red girl never scared him. On the contrary, he had pity on her. He wanted to know more about her.
" I'm Thomas...and you?"
The girl remained silent but, she dropped the ball to shake his hand. The boy smiled. It was the first gesture of compatibility that was addressed to her.
" So...Why don't you play with us? Are you shy? You know it's normal especially if..."
The boy froze. The girl was shaking her hand even more on the boy's to the point of becoming painful.
" ...my hand..."
A crack of bones was heard. Thomas let out a hoot of pain. It did not stop the girl from continuing to completely crush his hand.
" That's right! Cry. Scream. Let me see all the pain on your face!"
She did not say it verbally but that's what her eyes translated.
And finally, she lacerated her hand and gave it to her cries and tears.
" You...You're a monster!"
The girl turned , a murderous look and a sadistic smile on her lips. She already know it.

The evening shadows were approaching and the moon was already adorning the night sky. A light wind slipped between the trees of the forest rocked by the night. Nothing was heard but the rustling of the branches agitated by the breeze. Then suddenly, "Crac!" The crackling sound of dead branches. Two silhouettes advance. One of them looked like a red spot...
" Excuse me, It's not that I'm scared but ... is it safe to go to the forest at night?"
The questioned girl nodded without turning . Because she wanted to hide her smile by thinking of the surprise she reserved for her guest.
And they plunged into the dark forest...
