As of now, I am sitting in the office with the therapist they provided me. Apparently I have to speak to her before I get to go home tomorrow.
"How are you Syana?" She asks.
"I am good." I answer.
"Do you still feel like you don't want to be here alive?" She asks.
"No. I don't. I feel like now that everything that had been happening was just a set up, when I get out of here everything will be better." I say.
"So you strongly feel like you don't need to be here anymore?" She asks.
"I do. I feel as if I don't need to be here anymore. I am better. I feel better." I say.
"Alright, you can go have your call with your family now. I won't see you again for another two weeks. When you do see me, we will be talking about how everything has been going for you." She says. I nod my head then leave the room. I walk to Mrs. Wells office and she let's me call my dad.
"Hey Dad." I say into the phone.
"Hey babygirl. How are you doing?" He asks.
"I'm doing good. Can't wait to come home." I say.
"You will be home tomorrow." He says.
"Yeah. Where is mom?" I ask.
"She's right here." He says. "Do you want to talk to her?"
"Yes please. I didn't get to see her, when, everything was over." I say.
"Alright, hold on." He says. I can hear him moving the phone from his ear. Probably putting it against his chest.
"Dear, it's Syana, she wants to talk to you." I hear.
"I can't talk right now." I hear her say with attitude. I hear shuffling again then hear my dad sigh.
"She can't talk right now. I'm sorry. But we have been waiting for your call all day, so Reece is here. I'll give him the phone." He says. I hear shuffling again then I hear Reece's voice.
"Hey there mi amor." He says.
"Hey." I say.
"Are you ready to come home tomorrow?" He says.
"I am more than ready." I say.
"Syana, time is up." Mrs. Wells says.
"I have to go. I love y'all." I say.
"We love you." He says, then the line goes dead. I hand the phone back to Mrs. Wells, then turn to leave, but she stops me from leaving the room to go back to my own.
"You are going home tomorrow." She says. I already knew that. I have been counting down the days. Instead of saying that I nod my head.
"They only gave you a week when you are supposed to be here for two months." She says. "You have to go and see that therapist every two weeks or you will be right back in here. Go get some rest." She says.
I start walking to my room but suddenly I hear whispers. I follow where the whispers are coming from and I see two of the girls I got kind of acquainted with. They're supposed to be in their rooms.
"Syana is leaving tomorrow. So she can't help us with this." I hear one say. Help with what? I continue walking to them then I clear my throat.
"Help with what?" I ask.
"Oh, um, nothing." They say. I narrow my eyes at them then I turn and walk to my room.
I go to my clothes rack and get clothes to change into. I change then settle myself into bed. This will be the last night I am here.
I am ready to sleep on my own bed, and not one that feels like cardboard.

I wake up to the alarm blaring. This place has a timer set for when we have to wake up and start getting ready for the day. It blares through all the speakers throughout the building.I stand up and go to my clothes rack. I get out my outfit for the day then hop in the shower. I wash my hair and body real fast then get out and get dressed. As soon as I pull my shirt down, the second alarm goes off telling us we need to be heading to the day room right now. I open my door and am met with Mrs. Wells.
"Hey Syana, I came to help you pack up, someone is here to get you and you are released." She says.
She helps me pack my stuff then she walks me through all the doors. Then, I walk out the last door by myself.
As soon as the door closes, I see Reece.
I run to him and engulf him in a hug. "I've missed you!" I say."I've missed you. Now, let's get you out of here and get going." He says. He grabs my stuff then starts walking, I agree with him then start walking also. We walk to his truck and get in.
He starts driving the direction to my house and when we pull up, Dad and Jai are waiting outside. I jump out and run up to them. I engulf them in a hug as I did to Reece. We stand their like that for a minute then I pull away.
"Where is mom?" I ask.
"I'm sorry, she had to be at work. But I was thinking, we could do some of your favorite things today. We could bake and watch movies all day." Dad says.
"Sounds good to me. But, I say we get a bunch of cake mix, cookie mix, and cupcake stuff." I say excitedly.
"We already have all that for you." Jai says.
We all go inside then everyone but me sits at the kitchen island. I get out all the stuff to make everything and I mix it all. We have cake, muffins, cupcakes, and cookies.
I put in a batch of cookies and a cake. I turn the oven on then I sit down at the island also.
"What do y'all want to do while we wait?" I ask.
"We could play a game of uno." Jai says. We all nod our head and Jai gets up to get the uno cards. When he gets back he shuffles the cards then hands us our cards, and we start playing.
We play uno until the oven beeps. Telling us the cake and cookies are done. None of us mentions anything about the hospital and I am grateful.
I am glad to be home with my family, my mom may not want to see me, but at least I have everyone else.
