"Now, now, Himari. I'm sure you'll be all alright with your Auntie Nemuri. You'll have lots of fun!" Himari's mother gave her a warm smile as she ruffled her hair playfully.Himari looked up, her big green eyes glancing up into her parents, her mouth squishing up into a pout.
Her father frowned. "Please, Himari. We need to go, we can't stay. We'll be back before you know it." He explained, kneeling down to her height.
She clutched onto her father's suit tightly. "But, I don't want you to go, Daddy."
A hand was placed onto her back, she looked over her shoulder and saw her Aunt in her hero costume, looking down at her.
"It's okay, little one. You'll be safe with me, I promise. Your parent's need to go to save more people, okay?" Midnight spoke gently, taking her by the hand.
Himari looked from her mother to her father until she looked back to Midnight.
She immediately erupted into tears and pulled both her parent's into a tight hug. "I'll miss you. Please be back soon, please don't forget me." She sobbed.
Her mother soothed her by stroking her back before the pair stood up, and looked up at midnight.
"If there's any trouble, you'll call me, right?" Himari's mother addressed midnight, who gave off a light-hearted chuckle.
"Come on little sis, she'll be fine with her Aunt, trust me!" She chuckled as Himari stood close to her side.
Her mother smiled, scoffing at her sister's immaturity. "Well, we will see about that." She joked.
"Be a good girl, now. Goodbye, Himari." Her father smiled, waving as they both got into their car, ready to make their journey to the airport.
The car's engines had roared to life and the little black car had set off. Himari removed her hand from her Aunt's and began to wave, jumping up and down enthusiastically with tears in her eyes.
Once the car vanished over the horizon, she lowered her hand and directed her gaze to the concrete pavement before her.
"Let's get you inside, kiddo. We can call them whenever they are free, okay?" Midnight smiled at the young girl as she met up with her gaze.
"Okay, Auntie." Himari wiped her eyes with her sleeved and clung onto her hand shyly as she lead her inside her rather large home.
Her luggage had already been brought in earlier prior to when her parents departed. They were called the StaticBenders, not famous heroes but they were known for their unique quirk to manipulate technology.
However, Himari still hadn't developed her quirk, the doctors said that she had the right signs and now it was a matter of playing the waiting game.
As Midnight gave her a tour around her home to familiarise her niece with what rooms were accessible, she then stopped in front of the spare bedroom door.
"Now, this is where you will be staying, kiddo. I know it's not much but I'm sure we can spruce things up over time." Midnight explained as she opened up the door, revealing a room containing one single bed, a wardrobe and a chest.
Himari walked inside with her small suitcase rolling behind her as she observed her temporary bedroom that she will occupy for four months.
She gave a grin to Midnight and rushed up to her with a big hug, her teeth baring with joy. "Thank you, thank you, thank you!" She thanked the hero repetitively as Midnight nervously chuckled.
"Well then, I'll leave you to it. Your bedtime should be in about half an hour, so until then take this time to get used to things. Have fun kiddo!" Midnight grinned, patting her niece on her head before Himari pulled away from the hug and nodded.
Once Midnight had left the room closing the door behind her, Himari glanced over towards the chest and began to lift it open.
To her guesses, it was empty. Yet she believed it would be a great place to store all of her toys and hero figures.
As she zipped open her suitcase, she hummed to herself as she clumsily poured the bag of toys into the chest, some of the toys spilling out.
Once the bag was empty, she placed the remaining figures into the chest and shut it after her before she began to stuff her clothes into the wardrobe quite messily.
"All done!" She giggled to herself in satisfaction of her 'adultness'.
She rubbed her eyes and gave a small yawn before glancing over to look at the clock. "Better go to sleep now, I don't want Auntie to be mad at me."
She clambered into her bed and threw her sheets over her so that it hugged her. Her eyes began to close, it felt as if weights were on her eyelids.
Himari then began to fall into an unconscious state, letting the leisurely sleep take over her.
Meanwhile, Midnight smiled as she peeked into the girl's bedroom. "So adorable." She gushed to herself as she switched off the light and closed the door once more.
Tomorrow would be the first day of Himari being schooled by somebody at U.A. Midnight had informed the staff and Nezu of her situation and fortunelty they understood and offered to help midnight look after the girl.
Nezu told Midnight that he would organise one of the teachers to give her some basic lessons so that she wouldn't fall behind on her education.
Due to Midnight's busy schedule, she was very grateful for the staff to help her look after the girl so that she wouldn't be on her own at her house all day.
She hoped that little Himari would be okay spending her days at U.A.
Midnight sighed as she made her way to her own bedroom, preparing herself for the long day ahead of her tomorrow.
"She'll be okay. It'll be okay, right? A six-year-old at U.A? I'm fine. Everybody's going to help me so it'll be a piece of cake." Midnight rambled to herself as she got herself ready for bed. "It will be easy peasy." She repeated as she pulled the duvet over herself and closed her eyes.
Little did she know, looking after Himari wouldn't be all fun and games...
