(TARA'S NEW HAIR)

I got dressed fairly quickly. I put on dark jeans, a white cami, a long sleeved burgundy sweater, and my black boots. Next, I went into the bathroom and put my hair in a messy bun on top of my head. There's no need in doing it, since I'm going to the salon anyway. I brush my teeth and put on little makeup. I run back down the stairs, waiting for Levi.

"You ready?" I ask.

"Yep!" he says, "Let's go!"

We exit the house and make our way to Levi's car. He really wanted to drive. Levi's automobile is a cherry red pickup truck that's clearly been used over the past years. The paint has wear and inside, the leather seats are cracked and worn.

"Malady," Levi says, opening the door for me.

"Why thank you kind sir," I say in a posh voice.

My own brain can't even comprehend how fast Levi and I made amends. He seriously just said sorry yesterday! It's like my words and actions are on autopilot.

Levi gets in the driver's side, and I direct him to the salon I'm supposed to get my hair done at. The salon, Salon Avenda, is a family owned business that is modern and chic. It's owner, Mandy Avenda, is my Mom's old high school friend. Her daughter and I used to go to school together in junior high as well.

Since the buisness isn't nessicarilly located in a rural area close to my house, it takes a good hour or 2 to reach.

Levi and I buckle our seat belts, and then we start our journey towards the city.

We arrive at the salon at 11:30 am. It would have been earlier, but we stopped for McDonalds.

Zack locks the car and we make our way inside. Once we step in the doors, Mandy runs and hugs me.

"Tara, darling! I haven't seen you in ages!" Mandy says.

"Same to you Mandy," I say.

"And who might you be?" she asks Levi.

"Levi ma'am," he says, shaking her hand.

"Nice to meet you Levi, I'm Mandy, as you can already tell," she replies, leading us to the waiting room, "You two can wait here, till your appointment."

"Okay," I reply.

We have 30 minutes to kill till it's time.

"Have you decided on what you want to do?" Levi asks.

"I've had an idea, but it's really bold," I say.

"What might that be?" he asks.

"I want to go ombre purple," I say excited.

"Really? Are you sure?" he asks.

"Yep! And I also want to get it cut, but just a little," I say.

I've had the idea of going purple ever since I met Kalel Cullen, Anthony Padilla's fiance. She had teal hair, but I really liked the idea of purple hair. So, I looked up some photos on Pintrist and found a few that look awesome.

"Well, okay then," Levi says, grabbing a men's hair book that showed different men's hairstyles, "Maybe I get my haircut too."

"Only if they have a slot open," I reply.

"I'll go ask." Levi walks away, towards a desk. He comes back a minute or two later. "They're open, they've set a time for me at 1:00 pm."

"Girl's night!" I say, mockingly.

"Totes girl," he says. We both laugh at his comment.

"What are you going to get done, Lev?" I ask.

He points at a picture of Ben Hill, with his fluffy, semi long quiff.

"I'm thinking something like this," he says.

"Oh.. sexy," I say.

"You think it'll look sexy?" Levi asks.

"I do."

"Tara?" Mandy asks, "Come with me."

I get up, trailing behind Mandy.

"Do you have an idea about what you want?" she asks, sitting me in a chair and wrapping a cape around me.

"I sure do."

"All done," Mandy says, "And it only took 6 hours, new record."

I grab a piece of my newly died hair and run it between my fingers. "I love it Mandy! You did such a great job!"

"Thanks honey," she says, "Just follow me to the register to pay."

I obey, and follow her to the register. I pay, and go to the waiting room to get Levi. He got his hair cut as well, but the hairdresser finished a few hours ago. Now, he's sleeping on a long couch in the waiting room.

"Lev, wake up," I say, shaking his shoulder.

He opens his eyes, but they soon become wide.

"Whoa," he says, "your hair- your hair is actually purple."

"Yeah, I said I was going to die it," I say.

"I know you did, and I love it!" He stands up and grabs a piece of it.

Mandy curled it, so the ombre effect looks even cooler.

"I like your hair as well," I say, messily running my hands through it to make it stupid. My objective back fires, when he grabs my wrist and pulls it back down.

"Don't you dare," he says.

I try with my other hand, quickly moving it to his head, but I don't get it there either. He grabs it as well and pulls it back down. Levi slides his hands from my wrists to my hands and pulls them up to his mouth. He kisses my hand, and then puts on his cheeks.

"I love you, T," Levi says.

"Love you too, Lev," I say, "I think I really do."

"Great," he says. He lets go of my hands and we exit the salon.

"I'm driving," I state.

"Oh hell no. My truck, I drive," he says.

"Hell yes. I'm driving," I say, "You were asleep mere minutes ago. I'm not going to let a drowsy man drive me for an hour."

"Fine, but only because I might become an old man behind the wheel, and I don't want to hurt you," Levi says.

"Okay, grandpa," I say. Levi tosses me the keys, and we hop in, both of us ready for the 2 hour drive back.
