Julius's POV

"Hello?"

"Hey Genevieve, I am so sorry I missed your call. I, uh ummm, had a malfunction with my phone and then had to deal with a situation with some teenagers living here. I really meant to answer your call." I rambled on when she picked up the phone. After dismissing the troublesome teens, I quickly grabbed lunch before calling her back.

Laughter filled my ears, "It is fine Julius. As long as you are not avoiding my call, I just hate when people text all day but when you go to call them it seems like the phone doesn't work."

"I always answer my phone unless something comes up. I am also sorry again for how you woke up."

Genevieve sighed on the other end of the phone. "That is what I called you about, you can stop apologizing about this morning. Like I said in my text earlier. It will not be the last time I fall asleep somewhere and then wake up in my own bed."

That part still made me uneasy; I felt Caesar perk up in the back of my mind, I knew it had him a little irked also. "What do you mean? Does this happen a lot?"

"All the time, I tend to fall asleep at my brothers' place a few times a month. They get annoyed with it so they just bring me home. It'll happen when we are at the lake or parks. Something about laying in the sun outside makes me super sleepy, so I tend to doze off easily." She explained. "What kind of malfunction did your phone have?"

I detected a bit of teasing in her voice, it was almost like she knew what happened. I cleared my throat, "Nothing major, it got knocked off my desk and had some books fall on it. When I tried to do something on it nothing was really working so I shut it off for a bit. Right after I turned it on, some teens showed up with a problem that I had to deal with. On another note, what are you up to today with this rainy weather?"

"Well I was going to work on some projects, but the couch got too comfy and I accepted the fact that I probably won't leave the comfyiness for the rest of the day. I plan to talk to my parents here soon, then I plan to continue marathoning movies. Maybe make some brownies." Genevieve said with a light tone.

"How about after your talk with your parents I come pick you up and we do movies and brownies here?" I suggested, jumping at the chance to see her again.

There was a pause on the other end, like she wanted to turn me down but didn't know how to say it. "I totally would be up for that, however I have my supper simmering on the stove already, and it doesn't transport easily. Plus I am also really comfy right now. Oh and I really don't like leaving the house in the rain. I am sorry if my reasoning is lame, I'm just being honest"

"It is okay Genevieve. I understand." I replied. I couldn't quite reply very cheerfully. I really want to see her again. Soon. I was starting to crave her. I closed my eyes trying to calm down; I could hear Caesar in the back saying he wanted to see her too but the stupid human thing kept getting in the way.

"Julius? How about doing that? Would that be okay?" I was brought back to reality by her questions. Crap a diddle, what did she ask. I missed what she said.

"I'm sorry Genevieve but something took away my attention for a few, could you repeat that please?" I asked, feeling like a numbskull for not paying attention to her.

"No problem," she said cheerfully. "I was saying that the call with my parents wont take too long. Did you and Minnie want to come over when I am done for movies and super? Maybe Miles and his wife also? I would like to meet her, see who Miles wants to learn to cook for."

"I think that is doable, let me check with people and get back to you." I said trying to hide my excitement. "What time were you thinking? Did you want me to see if Harrison and Seth want to come too?"
