The evening was warm. A sense of drowsiness lay within it. It was a casual ending to a day, with a cozy sleep. The moon was full, and the night was young. The stars began to dim, as if wanting to disappear. Something didn't feel right to the people if the city, right then. But then again, no one bothered. "We aren't astrologers.." They told themselves, wanting to let this day remain calm. Soon, it was 11 pm. Everyone lay in bed. Not many cars were passing on the road, the city was termed asleep. Yet, it wasn't. And there was no denying that.

Amidst a building, on the top most floor, had been a struggle. A struggle of protest, of mercy. Yet the figures didn't heed, dragging the pleading person, up the stairs. The scene was then on the roof, where no one but them could witness the truth. A cry for help, for anything but death, the person begged, but once more was ignored. Of the three figures standing there, one crept closer, hands in hair. Then the figure grabbed the arm, of the poor person's and dragged it back. They stood standing on the edge of the roof, with no railing, nothing in their way. The person beating their arms and legs, tried to get away. But the figure laid firm, scooting the screaming person forward, till the person's legs were almost off the corner. The person stopped struggling, knowing what would happen next. She closed her eyes, with her hands in the air. Next came the push, that pulled her down, she floated in the air, defying gravity for many moments. She didn't dare open her eyes. She could feel the strong wind next to her ears, she could tell ground was coming near. She begged mercy to God, for all that she had done, for he must have thought she deserved this.

Or maybe the Devil was turning tables.

There were no more screams coming from her, the last noise she made was a big loud THUD. The figures looked down from the top at the girl on the street. Mission accomplished, they thought, we succeed. Nevermore would anyone hear from the girl on the street, nevermore would anyone hear from Holly Mclean.
