"Everyone shhh!" Sakura whisper yelled as she dimmed the lights.

Everyone got down on the floor in a state of worry and anxiousness. Each person quietly counting down on the time that he would walk through that door. The door ever so slowly creaked open, and Sasuke stood as a tall dark figured silhouette. Everyone jumped out and yelled with bunches of excitement, "Surprise!"

The lights came on in a burst and confetti flew around everywhere's some of it landing on his tomato cake. Sasuke loomed over everyone else in an unmoved fashion. Sighs could be heard throughout the room, Sasuke wasn't surprised in the slightest. He did however put on a big smile, which is not a normal Uchiha thing.
Sakura even managed to get ahold of Itachi, Sasukes beloved older brother. Naruto was not pleased by Sasukes unsurprised response, so he went a little overboard. Naruto, with a part had on his head, body tackled Sasuke to the ground and yelled, "SASUKE!! I SAID SURPRISE!"

Naruto yelled, followed this with a slap on the face as an early present. The big surprise may have not scared Sasuke, but this sure shook him up a bit. He sat on the ground for awhile and took another around the room.
The colorful display of balloons, all of his friends, streamers, and a big banner that had the numbers '18' spray painted over 'it's a girl'. What a lovely spread, he thought sarcastically.

Sasuke sat up slowly and slapped Naruto across the face as payback. Such strange friends they were. Sasuke looked around the room yet again, trying to find two people in particular. Sakura and Itachi.

Sasuke found Itachi standing antisocially in the corner, the way it would be 'traditional' for any Uchiha too. Sasuke made a beeline for Itachi and decided to catch up with him, "Itachi, how are you?"

"Okay, I haven't fully recovered yet." Itachi replies solemnly.

Sasuke knit his eyebrows together and his brother marveled at this, "Dude, when I got here. I saw the it's a girl sign and I thought Sakura was pregnant!"

Sasuke laughed nervously at his brother as he scratched his head, "Nah, I use pro–"

Itachi cut Sasuke off right then and there, "I'll stop those words now." After som meaningful awkward and shameful silence Itachi continued, "So you're eighteen, what are you thinking about doing?"

Sasuke leaned on the wall next to Itachi and let out a depressed sigh, "I really don't know. Sakura and I have been going strong for a year and a half now. I don't know what's going to happen with my life, or hers. All I know is, I don't want to ruin what we have."

Itachi nodded wisely, just as he was about to speak a cheerful pinkette entered the conversation. "Happy birthday Sasuke!" She said as she hugged him tightly.

Sasuke gave her a strained smile and embraced her back, and gave her a kiss on the cheek. Every time he gets close to her, he feels like it's the first time. Every time he gets a simple text from her, it reminds him of the first time.
Itachi went silent and returned to his sulking in the corner, Sakura notice this and took immediate concern, "Itachi are you alright?"

"Well, yes. You guys are growing up so fast!" Itachi admitted sheepishly as he looked to his younger brother who was nearly the same height as him.

Itachi put his arm around Sasuke and the other around Sakura, this was normal for them. Sakura was included as a part of the family, because she, just like them, basically had none.

Sakura have Sasuke another quick peck on the lips before dashing off to see how everyone else was doing, like the good hostess she was. Sasuke blushed and didn't even try to hide it, "That bad, huh?" Itachi countered.

Sasuke squares his body to face Itachi once more, "Bad?"

"You've fallen for her that bad." Itachi declared happily as he looked at Sasuke in admiration.

Sasuke appreciated that look he got. He loved his older brother and his older brother loved him. He used to be at a point where he never thought he could be happy, that he didn't need bonds, and he could live live alone in solitude. Then he met her, and his world was flipped upside down. Every day she still surprises him in one way or another. He knew that he had found the one.

"Falling for her is the best thing I've ever done." Sasuke replied honestly as he watched her fade into the crowd.

The brothers stood happily, for once, everything was right. They felt content, everyone else felt content. Well, almost everyone. Naruto felt very sad for some reason, so he took it upon himself to talk to his 'the one', Hinata. "Hinata, I feel like something is missing."

Normally Hinata would be understanding, but she had no context. She just smiled and had a mental breakdown on the inside, that is until he said, "Someone is missing."

The mental turmoil turned into a hurricane, Hinata thought that he was referring to a mistress! Naruto snaked his arm around an angry Hinatas waist and pulled out his phone, "I know whose missing!"

The room seemed to go silent all at one, they were thinking the same thing as Hinata. But poor Naruto, he was just trying to have a good time. He didn't seem to notice the dead silence in the room as he started dialing numbers on his phone.
Whoever he called picked up. With that boyish grin that only Naruto could pull off he said, "Kakashi ~Sensei! Hey!"

Everyone sighed in relief, Naruto was not cheating on Hinata. And why would he? The room went back to its loud chatter as Naruto tried to convey his message to Kakashi, "KAKASHI I HAVE TO TALK LOUDLY SO YOU CAN HERE ME OKAY! COME TO OUR PARTY ILL TEXT YOU THE ADDRESS!"

Hinatas ears were dead, she was standing right next to Naruto. You would think that it is creepy that Naruto invited his old teacher to a student and family party, but it wasn't. Kakashi was like their family anyway, and he was the favorite teacher.

The night raged on, they sang happy birthday, Sasuke cut the tomato shaped cake, they all had their last highschool hurrah. The night ended and close friends crashed at Sasukes place.
It truly was their last high school hurrah, they were all branching off and going to college. That didn't mean the end of their friendship, and it surely wouldn't be the end of their story.

Sasuke was now eighteen, he was a man. He thought he was ready to face the world but he of course was not even close. But no one ever is. That year the world would take him by storm, and life would never be the same. Sasuke couldn't survive without the love of his life.
