Hey! Welcome to my new book! I hope you guys enjoy it. Also I apologize that the first chapter is so short, that's just the way it turned out. The next chapter is three times as long. Thank you so much for stumbling upon "Luna Samara"!

I put the last egg in my basket.
I walked out of the barn to put the eggs in the house. I latched the gate and turned.
I bumped into something hard. There shouldn't be a wall here.
"Ouch!" I grumbled angrily as I stumbled back.
I opened my eyes and there was a man. Not a wall.
Adrenaline rushed through me. I was terrified. Where did he come from?
He growled out a single word "Mate" That could only mean one thing.
Werewolf.
And he thinks I'm his mate. I'm a
human. That's impossible. I'm definitely not his mate.I tried to stay away from the woods as much as possible because everyone knows that that is werewolf territory.
Why was he so far from the woods?
He took a step towards me.
I thought about running.
He'd catch me but still, at the moment I was a sitting duck. Just waiting for him to end my life.
I looked into his eyes. Brilliant blue, they shined back at me.
"What's your name?" He whispered.
I did not trust myself to speak. I kind of felt like crying for some reason, which was weird but it probably from the fact that I felt so comfortable with him when I should be shaking in fear. I had to remind myself that he was dangerous. He could rip me to pieces in an instant.
I've never seen a werewolf in person. I expected him to look more... animalistic? But he didn't. He looked like a regular guy. The only reason I knew he wasn't a human was because he called me his mate. Oh my gosh...! His mate? I need to get away. There ain't no way he was going to drag me back to those woods and keep me there.
I remembered that I still needed to answer him. You don't disobey a werewolf so I mustered up all my courage and answered.
"Samara"
It wasn't helpful that he was the most gorgeous being I have ever seen and he was looking down at me with pure adoration. Dark chocolate curly waves fell at his forehead. He was tall. Long eyelashes graced his immaculate face, and I could rave about the oceans of his eyes for days. He looked at me like I was his world.
I was weirdly pulled to him and I started to lean into him as I looked into his eyes. I couldn't help it. When I looked into the vast blue seas of his eyes I didn't feel as scared.
The blue seemed to swirl and change colors if you looked for long enough.
Sudden movement behind him caught my attention and I was no longer looking into the oceans of his eyes but the deep obsidian eyes of the most horrifying creature I have ever seen.
She had scaly green skin and had snakes for hair. As I looked into her eyes, everything in my body started to slow down. My vision started going gray as I lost the feeling of my body. I slipped into unconsciousness softly, like I was slipping under the covers of my comfy bed, slowly falling asleep. I felt calm, unlike anything I had ever felt.
