You waited for your turn patiently, scrolling down your blog on your phone.
You had to been assigned to write about a woman's perspective of a man she loves and the pleasing atmosphere within it.
"Here you are ma'am, one blueberry burst cappuccino."
You keep looking down at your phone until you hear multiple calls for your number in line.
You look up and shut off your phone screen, stepping closer to the register. You reach up to point at the menu above your head.
"I'll have a small caramel latte and two sugar cookies, please." You ordered, stepping back and waiting.
"All right miss, and is there anything else?" The black-haired employee stood behind the high counter, adjusting his hat.
You had seen him a plethora of times before, but this time he looked astonishing.
You had a hard time answering him because he was too beautiful, you were briefly speechless.
You answered after watching him shake his hair out of his well-sculpted face.
"Oh no thanks, I'll just go wait over there."
You said, stepping to the side as you made your way to the nearest empty table to continue your work.
You overheard the sounds of customers ordering along with baking timers ticking.
The scent of freshly brewed coffee is one of the many scents of the wide variety of the small and busy shop you sit in.
Your number got called and you saved your recent document, having your order handed to you.
"Here we are, your extra sweet small caramel latte, I'll have your cookies out soon, sorry for the wait."
He said, placing your coffee down and walking back to his workspace.
You took your laptop back out and started working again, writing more descriptively as you thought about the boy's appearance.
The boy was tall and intimidating to you, so you wrote it down.
"Tall and intimidating, he was both attractive and adorable. Such qualities couldn't be in one human, but for him, it came naturally."
You said lowly and kept typing it out as it came to mind. taking sip after sip of your ice-cold coffee.
"That sounds right...but you should also mention that he was single and perfectly available."
The boy winked, placing your cup on the oak table.
You froze in place, taking in the fact he had heard you.
"I'll be sure of it, and what was his name?" You teased, typing out more of a description for him.
"Hyunjin, Hwang Hyunjin."
He smirked, walking back to get the rest of your order.
"Hyunjin, well that's a nice name."
You chuckled, sipping more off the top of your coffee.
He returned shortly after and placed your cookies down, reading more of your document.
"The boy was standing mere inches away from her, but she felt as nervous as if they were face to face...hm...I like it..." He smiled.
"Thanks, I can't wait to publish it."
You smiled in return, feeling happy with your new work.
"I see, so you're an author too?" He chuckled, sitting beside you.
"Yeah, I'm majoring in literary arts." You said confidently.
"Ah, So you're already in college?" He leaned on his arm in interest to your life story.
"Mhm, I've been working on a college-based story recently."
You save your work and shut your laptop.
"That's awesome, I'd love to read some of your work." He says, making your heart begin to race.
"Oh wow, that's actually really nice of you to say." You smiled again, feeling flustered by his many complements.
"Well you deserve it, I've gotta get going though." He says, standing up and stretching.
"Here's your receipt by the way." He stepped aside, winking at you.
You swallowed and calmly read the card to yourself.
I like you a latte --Hyunjin
You smiled at the card, tucking in into your computer bag.
