"Are you done packing yet sweetie?" My dad comes in saying.
"Almost. He said pack stuff that will keep me warm. Where do you think he is taking me?" I ask. It has been two weeks since I got out of the hospital. I am feeling a lot better.
I went back to school a week ago and it was better. We are now on a break though.
"I have no idea." He says. Then suddenly we hear a knock at the door. It's Reece.
"I'll go down there with him. You finish packing." My dad tells me. I nod my head then finish putting my clothes in my bag.
I zip up my bag then I continue on with putting my shoes on. A little break from here won't be bad. I need it. I need it with the person I love.
I grab my bag then I start walking downstairs. I hop off the last step then make my way over to dad and Reece.
"Are you ready?" Reece asks once he see's me.
"Yep." I answer back with a smile. He smiles back at me then I give my dad a hug.
"I love you Syana. Y'all be careful." He says.
"We will. I love you." I answer. I pull away then Reece and I head out to his truck.
"Where are you taking me?" I ask.
"It's a surprise. You will love it." He says. We get in the truck then start our drive to the airport.
The airport is about a thirty minute drive from here. So I sit with my elbow on the window sill and my head resting against my hand.
Soon enough, we pull into the airport then we board our plane within another thirty minutes. Surprisingly there aren't too many people here, especially seeing as school is on a break.
We find our seats then we sit down. I lay my head on his chest, then he starts talking. "We are graduating soon." Reece says.
"In just a month." I say.
"Then, we will be off to college." He says. We stay quiet for a while longer then the plane starts up and we descend in to the air.
"So, I was thinking...... When we get back, I'd like you to meet my parents." Reece says. The people who adopted him. What if they don't like me? I don't want them to dislike me.
"They may not like me." I say.
"They will like you. You are an amazing person." He states.
We sit there for a minute then I feel myself start dozing off. It wouldn't surprise me if I am really tired. I didn't get much sleep last night. Ever since I've gotten back, I have tried to get my mom to want something to do with me, but she won't. So, I was up half of the night trying to figure out why she is being like that.
I let my eyes flutter closed and next thing I know I am being shaken awake by Reece.
"We are here. It's time to get off the plane." He says. I sit up and look out of the window and see we are back on the ground. But not only are we on the ground, but there is snow on the ground! Snow! I love snow! Now I know why I needed to get winter clothes.
How is it snowing though? It's basically summer now, unless, we are in the mountains?
"Are we in the mountains?" I ask. It shouldn't be snowing unless we are.
"We are. I know you like snow, and we don't get any, so I figured this would be a great place to bring you. My family has a cabin out here, I figured we could stay a week here." He says as we get off the plane. I step down in to the snow and immediately my feet sink in, not too deep though.
We rent a car and now we are on our way to get food for the week. Apparently no one has been at there cabin in awhile, besides the cleaners to make sure it doesn't get dusty, but that is it.
"What are we going to get?" I ask.
"Well, I figured we could get food for breakfast, lunch and dinner, then we could get a bunch of snacks." He says.
We pull into the parking lot then Reece parks and we get out. He walks around the car and entangles our hands together and we walk in together. He grabs a cart then we start our shopping spree which lasted about half an hour because we had no idea what all we wanted. But, we have it all figured out now, and now we are on the ice cream aisle arguing over what the best ice cream is.
My personal favorite is cookie dough. I mean, come on, who's isn't? Ice cream and cookie dough, mixed together? It is amazing.
"Just regular ice cream is good too though. Why would you want to mix something with it?" Reece questions.
"Just plain ice cream gets old, you want a burst of flavors, not just one flavor." I state. Then it's like a light bulb turns on above his head.
"Okay, good point. We'll get cookie dough then." He says. I light up and hurry to grab it. We make our way to the check out and we find one that doesn't have any one at it besides the cashier and the bagger.
We pay then put our groceries into the car and start making our way to the cabin and we arrive fifteen minutes later.
We start grabbing everything and as soon as I turn around and see the cabin, my mouth flies open. This place is huge.
We make our way to the front door then Reece opens it letting the warmth from inside flood out. The cleaners came in and made sure the place was nice and warm for us when we got here.
I step inside then my mouth flies open for the second time. The inside is even better. The living room has nice looking furniture, with a lit fireplace across from it and there is a TV stand with a huge TV on it.
Onlooking the living room, the kitchen is round the corner, it has an island in the middle of it. The island has a fruit basket on it with stools on one side.
Reece snakes his arms around my waist then rests his head on my shoulders. "Do you like it?" He questions. I turn around so that I am now facing him.
"I love it. This place is so beautiful." I state. Reece leans in and gives me a quick kiss.
"Our room is right around the corner. It is the first one on the right. You can start getting settled in if you want, I can put everything away and start cooking dinner." Reece states then he kisses me again. We untangle ourselves from each other after. I nod my head then make my way to the room.
I open the door and am met with a king size bed, not to let it be unknown, but it is pretty tall, with a nice dark red duvet on it. The pillows has the same color. There is a decent sized TV connected to the wall. On each side of the bed is a night table with a lamp on each.
Beside the TV there is a door that is left open, I can see it is a big sized bathroom.
I open my bag and grab some clothes to change into. I grab a thick pair of black leggings with a black long sleeved shirt. I throw the clothes on after taking off my previous clothes.
I put my bag on the table then I walk out of the room to the kitchen. I am too tired to put stuff away tonight. Reece is at the stove mixing something so I sit at one of the stools and just watch him.
