My name is Desiree Neri 24 years old, I was an orphan at the age of twelve. I lived in different places but now that I've graduated and have a decent job I settled down here in New York.
I have a very special gift, know what it is? it's my eyes they are the special gift, not only that they are blue in color but whenever I see people's eyes, I could read their thoughts and everything that was going on in their minds, creepy isn't it?
But I accepted that gift and strived to live as normal as I could, I was doing great living as if I didn't have that special ability when I saw a man with very cold eyes like he didn't have any emotion.
I shrugged off the thought about his eyes.
What shocked me was that there's a man following him and I accidentally read his thought
"when he turn to that dark alley that's where I get to KILL him"
panic arouse in me, I don't know what I did but I followed them and the guy with cold eyes went to the dark alley and the man followed him.
when we were in the middle of the long dark alley, the man pulled a gun from his pocket, within my instincts, I rushed towards the cold guy and pulled him in a different place so he could dodge the bullet. The man who pulled the trigger ran away from us.
I helped the guy to stand up.
He earned scratches because of the impact when we fell on the ground just to dodge the bullet.
I saw his eyes again but now they were warm and I read his thought saying
"thank you, I owe you my life"
after I read that he also ran away, but wait how did he know I can read somebody's thoughts?
