When I Hear His Name

When I hear his name,

It gives me butterflies.

But at the same time,

A part of me dies.

I start to remember,

All of his lies.

I remember all he did,

Everything I'd despise.

When I hear his name,

My heart surely cries.

Wrapped up in love,

But it can't handle goodbyes.

Sometimes I think,

I can tighten up our ties.

But in reality,

I can't even rise.

When I hear his name,

I get in these highs.

Then I remember,

And my heart sighs.
