"I'm not sure if you noticed, but Paris have been looking a bit... gloom. The lights seem to be getting more dim, everywhere you go it feels dangerous, the air also have gotten more humid and musty. I'm sure a lot of Parisians don't feel safe in their own home," Ladybug started with a sorrowful look on her face, "all that because of... an akuma."
Ava turned serious all of a sudden, "tell me what happened."
"It all started... a few months ago."
"Wait... what?! It's been months and you still haven't caught a single akumatized villain yet? Doesn't it usually take you a day or something?" Ava asked in total confusion.
"I- it's different, this time," Ladybug stammered, "just listen to what I have to tell you and you'll understand."
start of flashback
"Lucky charm!" Ladybug screamed as a transparent glass cloche fell from the sky as a result of her lucky charm ability. It has a red and black polka dotted holder on the top.
"A glass cloche? What am I supposed to do with this?" Ladybug asked looking puzzled — with a slight note of annoyance on her face.
She looked around when her eyes landed on a covered drain on the edge of the sidewalk, a cheese stall on the other side of the sidewalk, Chat Noir's hand that already contains his cataclysm, Mr. Rat's hat which is where the akuma hides, and the glass cloche that she got from her lucky charm earlier — of course all that are red and black polka dotted in Ladybug's eyes.
"Of course! The only way to beat Mr. Rat is by using... rats!" Ladybug exclaimed as she ran as fast as she could passing the covered drain, directing the cheese stall, then grabbed a piece of camembert that she found there, and made a U-turn until she finally arrived at the covered drain. Then, she quickly slouched down to put the cheese in front of it, hoping to attract any stray rats from there.
"Chat Noir, cover me!" She yelled as she wished that her plan would work.
"With pleasure, m'lady!" Chat Noir replied.
Mr. Rat let out a callous laugh, "What are you doing, Ladybug? Looking for something to eat from the sewer?" Judging from his hysterical laugh, looks like he's overly proud of that joke.
"Hey! You should learn how to treat a girl with respect!" Chat Noir was about to hit Mr. Rat with his stick, but Mr. Rat managed to dodge.
That's when Chat fell down and got cornered by Mr. Rat. "Such an easy prey! Who says it's always the cats chasing the mice?"
"Excellent job, Mr. Rat! Now take his ring and bring me Chat Noir's miraculous!" Suddenly a purple moth sort of symbol appeared in front of Mr. Rat's face and a mysterious man's voice spoke.
"Aucun problème, Hawkmoth."
Chat Noir struggled to escape from Mr. Rat and fell down to the ground. "Please hurry up, Ladybug!"
"Ugh come on, come on," Ladybug sounded under pressure as she swung the cheese even harder and closer to the drain, hoping that the delicious cheesy scent would attract some rats.
That's when she heard the most reassuring noice, "squeak squeak!"
"Yes, finally!" She exclaimed in joy as a small light gray colored rat stepped out of the covered drain.
"You deserve this, little guy!" She tossed the cheese carefully, landing right in front of the rat. The rat hurriedly approached the cheese and started sniffing it.
"And sorry too..." Ladybug said while putting the cloche on top, trapping the rat.
"Hey, cheesehead!" She called Mr. Rat. He quickly turned around.
"Oh, look! An adorable innocent little rat trapped under a cloche. Hmm... what shall I do with it? I know! Should I leave it like this until it ran out of oxygen and dies? Or should I raise the cloche and step on it as you watch it rot and suffer with its bloody guts scattering all over the ground?" She smirked, trying to persuade Mr. Rat. She looked despicable, for a second there.
"NO, PLEASE DON'T!" Mr. Rat squealed in despair as he fell on his knees.
"This is it! Chat Noir, now!" Ladybug screamed at Chat Noir.
Chat Noir quickly responded with a nod and stood up towering the kneeling Mr. Rat.
Chat Noir grabbed Mr. Rat's hat using his cataclysmic hand and destroyed the place where the akuma is hiding, to ashes. "Now it's your turn, m'lady," He said while bowing politely with a grin.
"Aw... that's so nice of you, kitty." Ladybug played along as the devilish dark purple colored butterfly tried to flew away, but quickly caught by Ladybug's magic yo-yo. "No more evil doing for you, little akuma. Time to de-evilize! Gotcha!"
The magic yo-yo captured the akuma and turned it back into a pretty snow like colored butterfly. "Bye-bye little butterfly."
"Miraculous Ladybug!" Ladybug threw her black and red polka dotted handled cloche to the sky — setting the little rat free, and it repaired all the damage from Mr. Rat and the miraculous duo's epic battle.
